Liz Truss: We may support a tribunal to try Putin over war in Ukraine

Event

The UK is considering supporting a special international tribunal to try President Putin for the war in Ukraine, Liz Truss has said. In a conversation with Oleksiy Goncharenko, a Ukrainian MP, on Times Radio, the foreign secretary said that ministers were looking at the “most effective way” of holding Russia’s leaders to account for “appalling war crimes”. The Ukrainian government wants a special international tribunal to be established to try Putin and other members of the Russian government for the crime of aggression against Ukrainians. Asked by Goncharenko whether she would support the move, Truss replied:

“Well, we are very clear that Putin and all of those who’ve been behind the appalling war crimes that are being committed in Ukraine need to be held to account, and we’re working very closely with the ICC [International Criminal Court]. We’ve sent support into Ukraine to help collect evidence, from witness statements to video evidence.”

Comment

Britain wants Putin to be held personally accountable for the terrible conflict in Ukraine. Back in March, Dominic Raab, the UK justice secretary, pledged the “full support” of the British state to build a war crimes case against Putin and his military commanders in Ukraine. This week the UK foreign secretary has said that Britain will hold Putin to account.

The Bible says that the king of the south (US/UK) will push at Gog – the Russian ruler of Daniel 11 verse 36-39. This push is a personal provocation of the king and we see how personal it is for the UK. Britain is leading the way in pushing and provoking Putin. Britain has supplied thousands of Brimstone missiles that are destroying Russian tanks with pinpoint accuracy. Russia accuses the UK of fighting a proxy war against it. After the push the “king of the north” (Russia itself) invades Israel.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. (Daniel 11:40)

Germany backs EU proposals for Russian oil ban

The Times, May 3, 2022

Event

The European Union is moving towards a ban on Russian oil by the end of the year amid divisions over the speed of phasing out imports and the impact of the embargo on the cost of living in the West. EU energy ministers held emergency talks in Brussels yesterday before European Commission proposals on new sanctions that are expected over the next 48 hours. In a significant U-turn, Germany is backing the planned oil ban, but there are still difficulties, particularly for small, landlocked central European countries dependent on crude oil supplies from Russia. The German energy ministry hopes to achieve “total” independence from Russian oil within weeks, chiefly by importing more through Rostock in northeast Germany and the Polish port of Gdansk.

Comment

Europe is switching off Russian oil and gas as soon as it possibly can. When this happens it will be an enormous blow to Putin as 37% of its total trade comes from the EU. 40% of Russia’s total revenue comes from oil and gas. Without the flow of this money Russia would quickly go bankrupt. One country the EU is looking to to replace oil and gas is Israel! There is already a pipeline planned from Israel to the EU. Putin will see this as Israel taking his lost income and decide to take it back – hence coming to Israel to take a spoil. Germany (lead nation in the EU) is heavily dependent on Russian oil and gas. It is planning to stop all oil trade with Russia by the end of the year. Germany has also just begun building its first terminal for importing liquefied natural gas from the US and the Middle East. Germany is not part of the Gogian invasion of Israel. Germany invades Israel after Christ has returned and the saints have been judged…

And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: (Revelation 17:12-14)

Pushing Russia

Push Russia out of whole of Ukraine, says Truss

BBC, April 28, 2022

Event

Russian forces must be pushed out of “the whole of Ukraine“, the Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has said. In a keynote speech in London, Ms Truss said victory for Ukraine was now a “strategic imperative” for the West. This amounts to the clearest statement yet of Britain’s war aims which have, until now, been limited to stating that President Putin‘s invasion of Ukraine

“must fail and be seen to fail”.

She said Western allies must “double down” in their support for Ukraine.

“We will keep going further and faster,”

Ms Truss said,

“to push Russia out of the whole of Ukraine.”

This implies that Russian forces must leave not just the territory occupied in recent weeks since their invasion on 24 February but also those areas they invaded and annexed eight years ago, such as Crimea in the south and parts of the eastern Donbas region. Not all western powers may share Ms Truss’ ambitious target, fearing it is unlikely to be achieved either by arms or negotiation.

Comment

We are reading in this BBC headline the exact same headline written in the Bible 2500 years ago in the book of Daniel.

In the WWW for over a decade we have been saying that Daniel 11 verse 40 – which reads

“at the time end of the end the king of the south shall push at him”

should be interpreted like this…..

“at the time of the end the US / UK will militarily provoke Gog / Putin.”

And now we have the exact headlines before us. The UK is leading the way in “pushing” at Putin the ruler of Russia. We don’t know how far this push will go. But as each week passes the push gets stronger and Putin’s rhetoric increases too. The “push”(Hebrew word for “gore”) causes the king of the north (Russia itself) to descend into the Middle East – specifically into Israel and also Egypt.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. (Daniel 11:40)

U.S. push for Ukraine “win” raises the stakes for Russia

The Economist April 29

Event

President Biden‘s request for an additional $20 billion in military assistance is intended to equip Ukraine for the next five months of war. It’s part of a broader mission to ensure “they have what they need to win this war,” an administration official told reporters.

“We gotta move at the speed of war,”

declared Lloyd Austin, America’s defence secretary, as he signalled a new, more intense phase in the West’s effort to help Ukraine repel Russia’s invasion. It involves providing more and heavier weapons, sustaining the effort for months and, above all, embracing the belief that Ukraine can now “win”. The Ukrainians, Mr Austin said,

“have the mindset that they want to win; we have the mindset that we want to help them win.”

What is more, he said,

“We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine.”

Comment

The US is also “pushing” Putin. Biden is asking for an astonishing $20 billion in military assistance to Ukraine. This sort of money can help tip the balance. Last month, the United States Congress approved $13.6bn in assistance to Kyiv, but the Biden administration has said it already used much of the funds. So does this “push” from the king of the south immediately lead to Russia invading Israel?

There is a clue in the text that there is a slight gap between the push (in Ukraine) and Russia invading Israel. Notice the colon at the end of the phrase “push at him:” A colon denotes a time gap. Usually a fairly short time gap. After the colon the king of the north (Russia) comes down into Israel. It is in this colon time gap that the initial inner ring war happens around Israel. Russia won’t invade south until it is victorious (somehow or other) in Ukraine…

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. (Daniel 11:40)

EU to snatch Kremlin’s oil and gas profits to rebuild Ukraine

Event 6 April

The European Union is planning to seize a share of Russian energy revenues from gas and oil imports to Europe to pay for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Under the plan a chunk of revenues, which have totalled €19 billion since Russia invaded Ukraine, will be diverted from Russian energy companies to an “escrow” bank account before being used for aid to Kyiv. Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, signalled the escalation in sanctions when EU ambassadors met to discuss a ban on Russian coal imports and a possible timetable for an oil embargo.

“These sanctions will not be our last sanctions. Yes, we have now banned coal. Now we have to look into oil and the revenues that Russia gets from these fossil fuels,”

she told the European parliament.

“We really have to make an effort, for example to take a share to an escrow account, so that we will really limit the source of revenues of Russia from fossil fuels. This has to end, and this is the next step we will have to take together.”

Comment

Russia relies on selling gas to pay its bills. Russia will earn nearly $321 billion from energy exports this year, an increase of more than a third from 2021. However this calculation changes completely in case of an embargo on energy sales. The invasion of Ukraine has shocked Germany and its European Union allies into a radical shift in energy policy, and the bloc is rushing to cut its dependence on Russia. The war in Ukraine is therefore driving a wedge between the East (Russia) and the West (EU). This division is what we expect to happen.

Revelation 16 makes clear that the dragon (Russia) and the beast (the EU) are separate entities when Armageddon happens. There is no mention of the dragon in Revelation 17 only the beast. This is because the dragon does not exist (is not part of the beast) when it makes war against Christ /saints.

And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast [not Russia]. These shall make war with the Lamb, (Revelation 17:12)

Ukraine war is veering fast towards a big power conflict

Debkafile, March 17, 2022

“Unacceptable and unforgivable,” was the Kremlin’s response to the US president’s branding of Vladimir Putin as “a war criminal,” on Wednesday, March 16.

Incensed rather than cowed by sanctions and international condemnation, the Russian president is likely to double down on his war offensive against Ukraine – regardless of the spreading death, human misery and ravaged cities. An expanding confrontation therefore cannot be ruled out for the foreseeable future. President Joe Biden spoke after the horror of Russia’s bombing of a theater in Mariupol where more than a thousand people including many children were sheltering against the constant shelling. The death toll is unknown as are the numbers still buried under the rubble while rescuers are prevented from reaching the scene.

Moscow was seen in Washington as expanding its targets beyond the Ukraine border with the assault by 30 Russian cruise missiles on the large Ukrainian military facility outside Lviv near the Polish border.

So far this war has been a war between Ukraine and Russia. But many military analysts and commentators are saying World War 3 has never been closer. Western powers have maneuvered extremely carefully to avoid direct conflict with President Vladimir Putin, the man who controls the world’s largest nuclear arsenal and has shown no qualms in boasting about it. But many believe there is now a grave danger that the United States and other NATO allies could be drawn into the war.

It is possible that we do look back and date the start of WW3 or the “time of trouble” from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Russia has overnight become a pariah state. Instead of backing down the Bible says Putin will continue to destroy until he himself is destroyed by God.

He will cause a shocking amount of destruction and succeed in everything he does. He will destroy powerful leaders and devastate the holy people. He will be a master of deception and will become arrogant This is describing a latter day Antiochus Epiphanes (the ancient king of the north) who lives at the time of the end. Putin clearly fits every description of this man. (Daniel 8:24-25 NLT)

Sanctions are crippling the economy of ‘Fortress Russia’

March 4, 2022

A shuttered stock market, close to default, business boycotts and a rush to the cash machines: the Russia economy is on its knees just eight days into the invasion. The scale of the looming economic collapse has clearly alarmed Russia’s business elite following a tidal wave of Western sanctions with oligarchs close to Vladimir Putin breaking cover to criticise the invasion. JPMorgan warned on Friday that the country is facing a hit as great as Russia’s 1998 financial crisis, predicting an 11pc peak-to-trough GDP plunge. The Centre for Economics and Business Research expects a 14pc hit in lost output in Russia over two years.
Oil and gas is still flowing from Russia to Europe, keeping a vital revenue source for its economy and the Kremlin intact.  But shoppers and industries, including banking, shipping, aviation and retail, are already feeling the heat as the West severs economic ties and turn Russia into a pariah state.

In just over a week Russia has suffered an economic meltdown. And worse is too come. The Economist said this week that the sanctions introduced by the US / UK / EU on the 26th February are causing “financial mayhem” in Russia causing Putin to increase Russia’s nuclear alert level. With incredible foresight, Brother John Thomas wrote these words in 1848,

“Let the Russian treasury be as empty as it is said to be, and its expenditure exceed its revenue by double the alleged deficit, it will only operate as a pressure from within, causing her autocrat [Gog], to enter into countries, and to overflow and pass over, and to enrich himself with the spoil of those he is destined to subdue.”

Ezekiel wrote

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords (Ezekiel 38:4)

The hook in the jaws is the lure of spoil in Israel (gas/oil) required by Gog to replace lost revenues in Europe…

Russia takes issue with Israel’s sovereignty over Golan Heights and Jerusalem

Moscow took issue with Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and Jerusalem just prior to its attack on Ukraine.

Russia doesn’t recognize Israel’s sovereignty over Golan Heights that are part of Syria,”

Occupied Palestinian Territories.jpg

Central Israel and Area C (blue), the part of the West Bank under full Israeli control, 2011

its deputy ambassador, Dmitry Polyanskiy, told the UN Security Council, which held a debate on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at the end of last month. The monthly Security Council meeting took place as the General Assembly debated the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Polyanskiy spoke just hours after Israel broke its neutrality on the conflict, as it gave a nod in support of Ukraine.

Moscow has presented itself in its conflict with Ukraine as the supporter of the Russian-speaking population in the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine. At the Security Council, Russia reminded Israel that it stands with Syria, where it is militarily entrenched, regarding Damascus’ demand that Israel returns the Golan, which the IDF captured during the defensive Six-Day War in 1967.

Israel has said it

“supports the territorial integrity and the sovereignty of Ukraine,”

and once again expressed concern for Israeli citizens and the Jewish community in the affected regions. Israel’s Foreign Ministry expressed “concern” over the “serious escalation.” Israel has very close relations with Ukraine and also with the United States so it has to side with Ukraine. But this in turn drives a wedge between Israel and Russia. Incredibly on the day Russia invaded Ukraine they made a statement at the UN that Russia does not recognize Israel’s sovereignty over Golan Heights. Also in the statement they mentioned Tel Aviv not Jerusalem in relation to the government of Israel.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces Jerusalem will become the centre of the conflict – this happens before Russia invades. (Zech 12:2)

US bolsters Europe with 3,000 extra troops

The US is deploying an extra 3,000 troops to Germany, Poland and Romania amid fears about President Putin’s intentions as he continues to amass Russian forces around Ukraine. In his delayed phone call with the Russian president on Wednesday February 2, Boris Johnson urged Putin to stop the “current hostile activity on the Ukrainian border”. He warned that any Russian incursion would be a “tragic miscalculation”, adding that Ukraine — like all European democracies — has the right to “aspire to Nato membership”, according to a Downing Street spokesman.

“The leaders agreed that aggravation was in no one’s interest.”

The US troops are in addition to 8,500 put on standby last week. The Pentagon said they were requested by Poland and Romania, both of which have long borders with Ukraine, reflecting nervousness over Russia’s build-up amid no clear intelligence of President Putin’s plans.

The United States and Russia have both said they have no interest in fighting a war over Ukraine, yet the two nations have spent the past several weeks building up military forces and inching them closer together on the European continent. The Biden Administration had initially relied on diplomacy to resolve the deteriorating situation, but the lack of progress—and continued build-up of Russian forces—has prompted the U.S. to draw up more aggressive strategies to deter Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Bible says that the king of the south (US/UK) will push at Gog (the king of verse 36-39 in Daniel 11). The word “push” is the Hebrew word “gore” – as in a horned animal like a goat or ram goring someone. If a goat was to “gore” you it would be extremely painful. But probably not life threatening. For this reason we see the push or the goring as a military provocation. The US sending its forces is part of the push against Putin.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. (Daniel 11:40)

Gas supplies from the Gulf may come with a catch

The small Gulf state of Qatar sits atop the world’s largest bubble of natural gas. Even so, it cannot keep all the planet’s power stations running all at the same time. President Biden will meet Emir Tamim, Qatar’s hereditary and absolute ruler who was educated in British public schools, in the White House on Monday to ask him to send more gas if President Putin cuts off supplies. Qatar, home to US central command in the Middle East and with strong historic and financial ties to Britain, has indicated it does not mind helping the West out. But it is not quite as easy as that. Qatar has no major gas pipelines and so its exports are all LNG. The tiny Gulf state is already a significant supplier of to Britain, meeting just under a tenth of the country’s needs. But whereas most of Britain’s gas comes from the North Sea and Norway, about a third of Europe’s gas and more than half of Germany’s comes from Russia.

The world is frantically looking for new gas supplies as Russia could easily turn off the taps if war breaks out. The tiny gulf Arab state Qatar has the largest gas reserves so Biden is turning to this nation for help. This is incredibly interesting with Bible in hand. We often talk about the “king of the south” being the US / UK. But these nations are NOT south of Israel. But the Bible says the “king of the south” is made up of Sheba and Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish and the young lions. Tarshish is Britain and the young lions are her offspring – the English speaking nations – US, Canada, Australia etc. Sheba and Dedan are Gulf Arab states SOUTH of Israel. The article above states that Qatar (Gulf Arab state in the area od Dedan) is home to the US central command in the Middle East. And so we see the “king of the south” powers coming together to try to counteract Gog i.e. the head of the king of the north. Events are aligning quickly….

Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her young lions] will say to you, “Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?”’(Ezekiel 38:13)

Trilateral naval drills between China, Russia and Iran started on Friday

Friday 21st of  January

China, Russia and Iran will hold joint naval drills on Friday, a public relations official from Iran’s armed forces told semi-official ISNA news agency on Thursday.

The “2022 Marine Security Belt” exercise will take place in the north of the Indian Ocean and is the third joint naval drill between the three countries, Mostafa Tajoldin added. Since coming to office last June, Iran’s hardline President Ebrahim Raisi has pursued a “look east” policy to deepen ties with China and Russia. Tehran joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in September, a central Asian security body led by Beijing and Moscow.  China, Russia and Iran started joint naval drills in 2019, and will continue them in the future, Tajoldin said.

“The purpose of this drill is to strengthen security and its foundations in the region, and to expand multilateral cooperation between the three countries to jointly support world peace, maritime security and create a maritime community with a common future,”

the Iranian official told ISNA.

The key nations that are opposed to the West are coming together in a show of force. They are all sensing weakness in the West and have therefore decided to show their own military prowess and abilities as they prepare for conflict.

The Bible says that Russia and Iran will be allied together when they invade Israel in the war detailed in Ezekiel 38. China isn’t mentioned there but the Bible is interested in nations that impact Israel directly – and due to distance China clearly cannot do this to the extent Russia and Iran can. Daniel 11 also says that Russia will come with ”many ships”. Russia on Thursday announced sweeping naval drills in several parts of the world. The exercise will involve over 140 warships and more than 60 aircraft, and will be conducted in many areas including the Mediterranean, north-eastern Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean.

Britain warns Russia over Ukraine

Britain warned Moscow on Thursday that it was working with Western partners on high-impact sanctions targeting Russia’s financial sector should it invade Ukraine. Russia has massed some 100,000 troops near Ukraine’s border and though Moscow says it has no plans to invade its neighbour, President Vladimir Putin has demanded legally-binding guarantees that NATO will not expand further eastwards.

“We will not accept the campaign Russia is waging to subvert its democratic neighbours,”

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss told parliament.

“They have falsely cast Ukraine as a threat to justify their aggressive stance.”

“Russia is the aggressor here,”

Truss said.

“NATO has always been a defensive alliance.”

Truss said that any further military incursion into Ukraine by Russia would bring “massive consequences, including coordinated sanctions to impose a severe cost on Russia’s interests and economy.”

There are crucial talks this week between Russia and American diplomat. Last week has seen the US and UK threaten severe sanctions on Russia if it does invade Ukraine. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has warned Moscow of “massive consequences” if it continues what he called aggressive actions in Europe. Britain’s Foreign Secretary also used the same language of “massive consequences”. Russia has responded saying it would be a “colossal mistake”.

We do know that eastern Ukraine was once part of Magog. And for this reason it makes sense scripturally for Putin to control this area at the time of the end. We also know in Daniel 11:40 that the king of the south (US/UK) will push (militarily provoke) Russia. It is this push that causes Russia to descend south to Israel. Ukraine might be where the push happens. We watch and await developments.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.  He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: (Daniel 11:40-41)

Boris Johnson warns Putin against Ukraine invasion

Boris Johnson has told President Putin that any invasion of Ukraine would have “significant consequences” as Russia warned conflict was inevitable if Nato continued its expansion toward its borders. In a phone call Johnson told Putin that the UK was committed to Ukraine’s “territorial integrity and sovereignty” and that any “destabilising action” by Russia would be met with a united response from the West.

In Moscow Russia’s deputy foreign minister gave the Kremlin’s first explicit warning of military action, amplifying tensions with Ukraine.

“A lack of progress towards a political-diplomatic solution would mean that our response will be military and military-technical,”

Sergei Ryabkov told the state news agency RIA Novosti.

“There will be confrontation. There’s no trust in Nato as an alliance. We’re no longer playing these kinds of games and don’t believe in Nato’s assurances.”

Last week it was president Biden warning Putin of severe sanctions if he decided to invade Ukraine. This week it is the turn of the UK prime minister Boris Johnson to phone Putin. He has given the same warnings. Boris Johnson said there would be an “extremely tough package” of sanctions and that NATO forces would build in the “periphery” of Ukraine if needed before saying such a decision would be “catastrophic” for everyone involved. The European Union is ready to scale up its sanctions and take “unprecedented measures” against Russia if it shows further aggression towards Ukraine, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday.

Daniel 11 says that the king of the south (US/UK) will push (militarily provoke) Gog – the king of verse 36-39 of the same chapter. Ukraine could be where the push comes.

Thus shall he [Gog] do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he [Gog] shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he [Gog] shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.  And at the time of the end shall the king of the south [US/UK] push at him [Gog]: (Daniel 11:39-40)

A lot of talk about a war beginning soon

Today thirty years ago: 1991: Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus signed an agreement to form the Commonwealth of Independent States in the wake of the demise of the Soviet Union.

Thirty years later: Western powers have called on Russia to lower tensions with Ukraine.

Responding to fears of a Russian invasion, Mr Biden agreed with leaders of the UK, France, Germany and Italy to use “all the tools at their disposal”.

The present-day definition of Donbas or Donbass a historical, cultural, and economic region in south-eastern Ukraine overlapping territories of Sloboda Ukraine

Moscow denies it has plans to attack but said that Nato expansion into Eastern Europe risked plunging the world into a “nightmare” of military confrontation and accused Ukraine of sending more than 100,000 troops to its Donbas conflict zone. Sergei Lavrov, the foreign minister, issued the warning before talks in Stockholm yesterday with Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, on the spiralling crisis over Ukraine. “The alliance’s military infrastructure is being irresponsibly brought closer to Russia’s borders in Romania and Poland, deploying an anti-missile defence system that can be used as a strike complex,” Lavrov, 71, said. “American medium-range missiles are about to appear in Europe, bringing back the nightmare scenario of a military confrontation.” President Putin has warned that he will train Russia’s new hypersonic weapons on western countries if Nato moves a missile defence shield into Ukraine.

There is a lot of talk about a war beginning soon.
Both sides are not only upping the rhetoric but also their actions against each other. Ukraine sits on the border between east and west. Russia wants it in “the east” under its control – Nato says it is up to the country itself to decide if it wants to join “the west”. Jens Stoltenberg, the Nato chief, issued a stark rebuke to Russia this week, saying:

“It’s only Ukraine and 30 Nato allies that decide when Ukraine is ready to join Nato. Russia has no veto, Russia has no say and Russia has no right to establish a sphere of influence to try to control their neighbours.”

These words will infuriate Putin as he sees the collapse of the Soviet Union as the greatest geopolitical disaster of the 20th Century. The Bible says that Gog will be pushed into coming down to Israel. Ukraine might be that push…

[Gog] will greatly honour those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.  “At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. (Daniel 11:40 NLT)

Risk of accidental war with Russia highest in decades, general warns

Britain’s most senior military officer has warned there is “a greater risk” of an accidental war with Russia now than at any time during the Cold War. In an eve of Remembrance Sunday interview with Times Radio, General Sir Nick Carter, chief of the defence staff, said the threat of “escalation leading to miscalculation” was “a real challenge”. The four-star general spoke as tensions were spiralling with President Putin’s regime over fears that it is preparing to invade Ukraine and the use of mass migration as a weapon. Asked whether tensions with Russia and the risk of a war were greater now than at any stage in his 44-year career, Carter said:

“Yes. When you and I were growing up, it was a bipolar world. Two blocks, the Soviet Union and the West. We’re now into a period where it’s more multipolar.”

The general said that Russia was prepared to go to any lengths to undermine western Europe and the US, including using mass migration and cutting Europe’s gas supply.

There is no doubt that things are approaching a conclusion. Russia has been preparing for conflict since Putin came to power in the year 2000. The British general is warning that accidental war with Russia now at its highest risk since the Cold War. America is also concerned about Russian intentions because recent trends carry echoes of the run-up to Putin’s 2014 annexation of Crimea from Ukraine. Eastern Ukraine was once part of the original territory of Magog. We know that Gog (the Russian leader) is “of the land of Magog”. It makes sense then for Putin to want to control that area – and it also makes sense he will control at the time of the end. All this leads us to the conclusion there could well be more conflict in this region – and it make come very soon….

Male, female and ‘X’ genders now on American passports

The first American passport with the gender marked as “X” to include non-binary, intersex and gender non-conforming citizens has been issued. Antony Blinken, the secretary of state, announced in June that there would be an option to choose an assigned gender on passports and that the State Department would “no longer require medical certification” if the selected sex did not match that in other documentation. The first passport was issued 2021 October 27.

“We look forward to offering this option to all routine passport applicants once we complete the required system and form updates in early 2022,”

a spokesman said.

“I want to reiterate, on the occasion of this passport issuance, the Department of State’s commitment to promoting the freedom, dignity, and equality of all people — including [LGBT] persons.”

A genderqueer pride flag held aloft with the words "El Futuro No Es Binario - Genderqueer" written across it

A genderqueer pride flag in Valencia reading “The future is not binary” in Spanish

The words “non binary”, “intersex” and ”gender non-conforming” have all come into existence is recent years. “Non-Binary” basically means the person doesn’t “identify” with being either male or female. “Intersex” is a very rare physical disorder where the baby has ambiguous genitals. It effect 0.2% of the population. “Gender non conforming” is given to people who want to act differently to their gender. Eg a boy might wear a dress. All this is why more and more public toilets are becoming “gender-neutral”. All of this is a sign of the times – the confusion over male and female. It is a complete disregard for what God did at the beginning. Genesis 1:27 says ”male and female he created them.” But now worldly thinking says this is not true. People can identify by choice with either or with neither. It is part of the collapse of God’s moral standards…

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have (1) transgressed the laws, (2) changed the ordinance, (3) broken the everlasting covenant. These are the 3 indictments of the world. The second one refers to changing ordinances. An ordinance is a Godly rule set down for us to follow. By removing male and female the world is changing this ordinance. (Isaiah 24:5)

EU and Germany launch the East Jerusalem Tourism Development Programme

The European Union and Germany launched the East Jerusalem Tourism Development Programme and inaugurated the Tourism Development Hub in East Jerusalem. The East Jerusalem Tourism Development Programme is the first joint project between the EU and Germany in the framework of the East Jerusalem programme. It aims at maintaining the Palestinian identity of the city and supporting the tourism sector in East Jerusalem, against the backdrop of a worrying trend of increasing hardship for Palestinian life and economic activity in this part of the city.

“This new programme is full of innovative and creative concepts to revive the sector,’’

said the European Union Representative, Sven Kühn Von Burgsdorff.

’Our joint work as Europeans reflects once again the clear and united position of the EU and its member states with regard to East Jerusalem. For us, East Jerusalem is part of the occupied Palestinian territory and the status of Jerusalem as the future capital for the two states should always be respected and protected.’’

As one commentator put it

“The decision by the European Union (EU) and Germany to launch the East Jerusalem Tourism Development Programme is in reality a blatant attempt by them to see Jerusalem divided by creating political facts on the ground under the guise of helping promote tourism in East Jerusalem.”

Notice how the EU representative says

“For us, East Jerusalem is part of the occupied Palestinian territory.”

They want it to be part of a future Palestinian State.

The Bible says that all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. Jerusalem is going to become like an intoxicating drink that drives the surrounding people mad. The EU is fermenting this drink….

“2 behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling unto all the peoples round about, and upon Judah also shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem. 3 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it.” (Zec 12:2-3 ASV)

Lebanon mourns dead of Beirut blast protest as spectre of civil war looms

Lebanon was in mourning on October 15, 2021, for seven victims of armed clashes in Beirut, including a 24-year-old woman who was hit by a stray bullet while sitting at home. The hours of sustained gunfire between rival militias raised the spectre of a new civil war and prompted Michel Aoun, the president, to say it was

“unacceptable that weapons are once more the means of communication among Lebanese rivals”,

referring to the 15-year civil war that ended in 1990.

The violence began during a protest by Shia Muslims against the investigation into last year’s port explosion. An unidentified rooftop sniper opened fire on a crowd of hundreds of supporters of the militant group Hezbollah and its political allies as they gathered in front of the Palais de Justice, Beirut’s central court, shortly after 11am. Fighters from Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, were then involved in sustained exchanges of gunfire — using AK-47s, heavy machineguns and rocket-propelled grenades.

Lebanon is in crisis and many say on the brink of collapse. Bordering Syria to its north and east, and Israel to its south, Lebanon occupies a critical space in the Eastern Mediterranean. Its collapse would risk spilling over into surrounding areas. It has a number of massive problems. There has been the vast refugee population from Syria. A permanent Palestinian refugee presence. The government is fragile and on the brink of another collapse. Hezbollah (terrorist group) are in that government. Fuel shortages this week shut down its main power stations. And civil war looms again.

In Isaiah 2 which speaks of the ”day of the Lord” coming on the world – the first nation mentioned is…Lebanon. The collapse of Lebanon could be the starting gun for Armageddon….

Submarine ‘treason’ shows Britain is vassal state of US, say fuming French

France has labelled Britain an American “vassal” and denounced Australia for “treason” over its decision to cancel a €56 billion deal to buy 12 French diesel-electric submarines.
The Australian government has opted instead for more sophisticated nuclear-powered submarines from Britain and America; a move described by a furious Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French foreign minister, as a “stab in the back”. Le Drian announced on Friday that he was recalling France’s ambassadors to Australia and the US in protest, an extraordinary step among such close allies and a sign of the Macron government’s displeasure at having been given only a few hours’ warning of the change, made public on Wednesday.
Clément Beaune, France’s outspoken Europe minister, turned his fire on the UK.

“Our British friends explained to us that they were leaving the EU to create Global Britain. As you can see, it is a return to the American fold and accepting a form of vassal status,”

he told Public Sénat, a state television station.

Andy Walton in his Weekly World Watch comments:

Even though Britain could have forged this new agreement with the UK and Australia before Brexit it is highly unlikely they would have done so. Before Brexit, Britain was in the EU and would have been obligated to tell their partners of something like this. But post Brexit, Britain is looking to become a global power again and forge closer ties with the wider world outside Europe. This has incensed the French as this new nuclear submarine deal cancels their own deal with Australia costing France billions. Again with Bible in hand we see how this fits with Bible prophecy. Britain is NOT part of the EU alliance of nations (political Babel / Babylon) that come together under the false religion of Rome (spiritual Babylon).

Brother John Thomas understood this 150+ years ago!

Britain is not included in the ten toes. She is reserved of God to antagonize Russia” and “The ten toes belong to the image as a united dominion; hence Britain cannot be included among them. (Elpis Israel – written by John Thomas)

the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, (Daniel 2:42)

At UN, Abbas Gives Israel One-year Ultimatum

Haaretz, September 24, 2021

President Mahmoud Abbas used his UN General Assembly address on Friday to warn that the Palestinian Authority would reverse its recognition of the 1967 borders and push to press charges against Israel in the International Criminal Court if the country did not withdraw from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem within one year.
In his pre-recorded speech, Abbas said that he is

“ready to work throughout this year on the delineation of borders and solving all final status issues under the auspices of the international Quartet and in accordance with United Nations resolutions. If this is not achieved, why maintain recognition of Israel based on the 1967 borders?”

Referring to the Oslo Agreement, Abbas said Palestinians

“remained committed to all of its elements to this day,”

whereas

“Israel has not honoured its obligations under the signed agreements and has evaded participating in peace initiatives and instead pursued its expansionist, colonial enterprise, destroying the prospect of a political settlement based on the two-state solution.”

Andy Walton in his Weekly World Watch comments:

Back in 1993 the Oslo accords were signed between Israel and the PLO. The accords created a Palestinian Authority (PA) who would have limited self governance in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The accords did not create a Palestinian State – but left sensitive issues such as state borders, Jerusalem etc to be decided in further agreements. In return the PLO recognised Israel’s right to exist inside the borders created in 1967. But now the leader of the PA has issued an ultimatum of one year to sort out the issues of the borders and Jerusalem. And if they are not sorted they will cease to recognise Israel’s right to exist – which could lead to the initial inner ring war.

Bible quote:

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.  For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee. (Psalm 83:3-5)

Iran’s days of setting Middle East on fire are over

Israel will no longer allow Iran to continue its aggression with impunity, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned on a visit to the IDF Northern Command on Tuesday.

“Iran already knows the price that we exact when someone threatens our security,”

he said.

“The Iranians need to understand that it is impossible to sit peacefully in Tehran and from there ignite the entire Middle East. That is over.”

The prime minister spoke of Israeli efforts to bring the international community to its side against Iran, including sharing the intelligence information showing Iran was the perpetrator, but said that

“we also know how to act alone.”

Bennett also criticized the European Union for sending Enrique Mora, the EU coordinator for the Iran nuclear talks and deputy secretary-general of the EU’s foreign ministry, to attend the inauguration this week of Iran’s incoming-President Ebrahim Raisi.

Israel is extremely concerned about what Iran might do next as the new hardline president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, takes control and is sworn in this week.

“Raisi is the most extreme Iranian president of them all, and the competition is tough,”

Israel’s prime minister Bennett said.

“I call on the EU: One cannot talk about human rights and simultaneously honour a murderer, a hangman, who has eliminated hundreds of opponents of the regime.”

The new Iranian president has been nicknamed “the Butcher of Tehran” because of the former judge’s role in the execution of thousands of Iranian dissidents.

The Bible says that although Israel’s immediate enemies (backed by Iran) will be destroyed in the initial inner ring war – Iran itself survives to join with Russia in the outer ring war that invades Israel. That army is destroyed by God with hail and fire.

I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’ (Ezekiel 38:22-23)
