Coming days to indulge in good food

Every day we get up and are confronted by the fact we have to eat something sometime. All year we have moments that we think about eating, looking at and for food for our wellbeing. Though we must admit, sometimes we eat more than we really need.

As we grow up, our eating pattern will change just as our life pattern takes twists and turns. Both should be in tune with each other and in balance with each other.

Throughout the year, there are certain days when we dare to indulge in (good) food. As we enter the winter days, we want to treat ourselves to even more warming items against the cold. The end-of-year festivities seem like the ideal time to indulge ourselves like this, with the excuse that to be together we should also enjoy rich food and lots of alcoholic beverages.

Have you ever thought about what you might consume? Over the course of a lifetime, it has been estimated that each of us will consume roughly 35 tons of food. That’s not such a small amount. And if we look at today’s youth, we will have to conclude badly enough that they are consuming even more and even going so far as to endanger their bodies. If you look around, you will be able to see plenty of overweight people walking around.

In these busy days of many visits and lots of food, we might want to take a look at our eating habits and find out what is best for our body, but also for our mind, to eat.

There are a few universal rules that will always serve us well,

says dietitian Priya Tew.

“Overall, throughout our lives we need to focus on that balanced plate. We need protein, whole grains, fruit and vegetables. We need healthy fats and dairy (or dairy alternatives). What changes within that list are the proportions as we age,”

she says.

There are times in our life when oily fish, fermented and folate foods should jostle for a starring role in our evening meal.

Over the years, many studies have been published on nutrition and what we actually need. Lots of people searched about the assimilation by living organisms of food materials that enable them to grow, maintain themselves, and reproduce. Over the years, many different ‘diets’ have also been published and we have seen many ‘hypes’ come to light.

Some felt that certain nutrients were best not eaten by a human at all. Others again felt that one could safely slaughter animals to eat and not exclude anything from the diet. But most people agree that we need a substance consisting essentially of protein, carbohydrate, fat, and other nutrients to sustain growth and vital processes and to furnish energy. Everybody seems to agree at least that the absorption and utilisation of food by the body is fundamental to nutrition and is facilitated by digestion. But what field days will find is that everything is not so easily digested and we may well overeat ourselves, after which our stomachs play up.

So best to think about our eating habits in the coming festive season now before the big feasts are upon us.

It’s never too late to start eating more healthily. As dietitian Dr Carrie Ruxton, co-author of the report, says:

“While we know that nutrition, even before we are conceived, can affect our health and disease susceptibility, it is always possible to make positive changes whatever stage of life you’re at.”

Which nutrients your body needs will depend on your gender and time of life. Whether we’re a growing child, a woman trying to conceive or an adult trying to hold back decline, our bodies change throughout our lives. As such, they need different foods at crucial moments to ensure the best for our bones, brains, guts and hearts.

Understanding the specific nutritional demands during the body’s life cycle should influence our food choices today.

If you’re feeling “sober curious” as the festive season gets into full swing, the good news is you don’t have to make any compromises on flavour. The low- and no-alcohol market is one of the most innovative in the drinks world and it’s growing rapidly – new products promising great taste without the booze hit the shelves daily.

Come to read more about it:

Let’s change

THE SEMPILL THINGS

The worst year yet? A lot of people would say so: “I’m glad to leave 2020 behind”, or “F*ck you 2020”, or whatever the trending caption of the moment is. 2020 has been a difficult year, but without it we wouldn’t be where are now. It’s shaken up all of us. And sometimes we need a shake-up. 2020 changed be me for the better in many ways –some good things, some great things, and some painful things that I wish would have panned out in a different way. I haven’t even come to the pandemic thing yet.

I’m hopeful for 2021, just as hopeful as I was at the start of last year. 2020 delivered in many ways and I’m pushing for ’21 to do the same. The attitude of wishing last year to go to hell is beyond me; the shift from one day to another makes no difference……

An Anniversary forgotten

Today, because many do not know their history we can see we are coming in very dangerous situation where the 1930ies are in away coming close to a repeat and the past shall put a stamp again on those who do not agree with the populists of today.

*

To remember

75th Anniversary of arrival of Soviet troops in Poland in offensive to defeat Nazi Germany and so called liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau Camps.

  • Italian Jew & chemist Primo Levi, celebrated Italian author of poems, short stories for children, science fiction & on his own life experience, from Turin interned at Auschwitz from February 1944 > you had to find a way to do as little as possible to preserve your energy.
  • writes about his view of Germans & Germany + his own country Italy + its long period under Fascist dictatorship which led to Italian Jews like singled out +  after 1945 Italy continued & continues to this day to have in its political life the heirs of Mussolini’s ideals.
  • camps near Krakow cut off to the village of Oswiecim.
  • commemoration for  Sinti people + mass extermination of 2 August 1944 > Sinti + Roma came primarily fr. Germany, Austria, the Protectorate of Bavaria & Moravia, + Poland, with smaller groups arriving from France, the Netherlands, Yugoslavia/Croatia, Belgium, the USSR, Lithuania, and Hungary.  + Norway &  Spain.
  • about 23 thousand men, women, + children imprisoned in the camp. ~ 21 thousand registered in the camp (370+ children born there).
  • about 1,700 Polish Sinti + Roma murdered immediately after arriving at the camp, without being entered in the records.
  • approximately 23 thousand Sinti + Roma deported to Auschwitz > ~ 21 thousand died or murdered in gas chambers.
  • set up as of 1933 to exterminate all enemies of Nazi Germany => 1° all German Opposition political figures targeted, intellectuals + artists.  2° long list of enemies of the Reich + people declared to be sub-humans like Sinti + Roma people, Jews, priests, nuns, any religious denomination, resistance fighters, POW, homosexuals, + not fitting into Nazis book for a perfect society.
  • badge to identify group they belonged to + number tattoo on their arm.
  • large industrial death factory > sole purpose to exterminate the undesirable quickly
  • 75 years later, Auschwitz name in history books > Far too many docu-drama cheapened memory of atrocities to point of trivializing them.
  • ignorance + indifference

We must master the past otherwise the past will master us.

This past week was the 75th Anniversary of the arrival of Soviet troops in Poland in their offensive to defeat Nazi Germany and so called liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau Camps. Currently I am reading a biography on Primo Levi, the celebrated Italian author from Turin who was interned at Auschwitz from February 1944. In the biography by Ian Thomson written in 2019 on the centennial of Primo Levi birth, we have a very good picture in Levi’s words of what that camp life was like, of the people he knew, of those who died and those who survived. We also read about the Germans at the camp who ran the factories for I.G. Farben and BASF. In order to survive Levi says; you had to find a way to do as little as possible to preserve your energy.

Levi had a long career in Turin as a chemist and he became…

a Path to explore more

When I started with this website, I wanted to share common thoughts or give similar minds an extra open door to reach others, as well as to present a selection of websites, blogs and writings I thought (and think) worthwhile reading or looking at.

For years on all my websites I also presented a “Related” articles list, to give my readers other opportunities to find more writings on the subject. After the many complaints having linked to their article, and having to search for placed links I was asked to remove, from this year onward, I stop to invest time looking for related articles, investing time to read them for after approval, placing links after the posted articles. Now much more time shall come available to publish more articles which are in unison with my thoughts and not bringing readers away from my own sites. (From the statistics more readers from this site went looking at the mentioned site, than receiving readers from the linked site.) At the same time on my websites I shall not any more bringing people to websites which are against me or my beliefs.

After giving all my energy to the world of dance my body could not fit any more the physical world of exuberance and graceful unlimited mobility. Having reached a certain age where they consider a human being not able enough to give enough to the world, I was made redundant, considered to be part of the ‘third age’ group.
First having been very disappointed by the way I was treated, the first two years I did not want to do much with ballet or theatrical dance. Not having to work full time for our living, receiving retirement fund, I could spend more time to my church work. My religious activities started even taking so much time I had less time to write at my own personal blog. (Because pensions not enough to survive I still have a few days a month I work for my living.)

I feel blessed that I am allowed to work at three Bible translations, even when it might consume also a lot of time and lots of thinking-work, being it a seriously very faithful responsibility, not to add or change anything in the saying or purpose of the original words supplied by God. Therefore, those translations in Judaic Dutch (Yiddish Dutch or Flemish), with the eye of two (or three) different groups (namely a Jeshuaist, a Jewish and an Orthodox Jewish public) is and shall be a time-consuming job with lots of thought and consideration).

This does not take away that I would have lost my interest in humanity and how man treats other people, animals and plants. I even became more active, spending also time in meetings concerning our way of life, necessary political actions a.o..
I must admit at meetings and conferences I seem to belong to a minority who strive to get unity in Europe, with some liveable world for everyone. Convinced we have to do something against this capitalist greedy world which does not show respect to the gross of people, animals and plants, I keep going strong and letting my voice being heard.

From  the moment I got retired I did not stop to seek a connection of like minds, to share common positive beliefs, and to be able to learn from each other about how to live life to the fullest.

Jonathan Hilton seems also on such a track. He writes:

Even when things don’t go as we plan, we all know no matter how hard we plan, life will throw us curve balls designed to engender growth. Our lives are defined by the lessons we learn at this moment and the way we handle ourselves. {Mind Connections}

Raising his level of consciousness has become Jonathan Hilton’s passion in life.

and understanding that when I follow and focus on certain core principles in my life and live in alignment with them, things go well. {Mind Connections}

He writes on the opening of his blog Mind Connections, admitting:

When I fall off, and my focus isn’t so sharp, then things are not so pleasant. Conscious thought about where my attention goes allows all of my energies to flow in that direction. {Mind Connections}

With the knowledge that each viewpoint may bring a different set of emotions, a different thought process, and a different reality to the perceiver it only can be enriching to share thoughts and to get to know more people from all over the world and getting to know how they manage to make the best of their life.

We have little control over the perceptions of others, but we may not forget that when we utter our ideas, share our thoughts, we might bring others to other ideas too.

How often do we not wonder if what we are doing is or would be right? How often do we not wonder if we should openly write what we think or if we should write in ways and words others would love to hear? I always have been a bad one at that. By creating my ballets I did not mind criticising the way our society was moving. I never tried to be popular by my creative works. [Choreographing fashion shows was a totally different matter, there I tried to bring the customers to find a connection in a future world to form. (We always had to be seasons ahead, manipulating the fashion trends – and yes, there stimulating human desires of consumption.) There it was also part the business to know beforehand what others would love to wear and see. ] In such way I also kept busy to try to find out what others would like to see and read.

On the surface, it is a simple choice, but in reality, it is a constant battle, {Life is a Mirror}

Hilton notes.
According to him

story-of-your-lifeThere is only a short time allotted to each of us to write the story of your life and with that time, we are tasked with a lot of things to accomplish. You have really only one life to get things right and sing the song that you want to sing. {The Story of Your Life}

We can try to make our dreams so compelling, that we will that we can’t wait to work on them, because waiting to experience them, in reality, is too painful. Often it is that enthusiasm which gets us to be restless and gets us up in the middle of the night to scribble something down or even to write certain texts.

A difficulty might be to:

Tune your enthusiasm to the size of your goals and attack it like your story depends on it because it does. That is how you write the story of your life. {The Story of Your Life}

At this blog I want to give, as many people as possible, the opportunity to share their thoughts which they and I find interesting enough to think about. I keep chasing my dreams that we can find enough people all over the world willing to bring others to see how we have to be careful which way of life we want to choose. As a Christian I also would love to see more people sharing the faith in One God and in His Gift and Good News of the coming Kingdom.

Once more, I dare to invite people to join us to share positive thoughts, but also to bring warnings how to tackle ecological and other problems.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, for becoming a part of joining hands across this globe.

What traditions/rituals/routines do you have for welcoming Autumn?

Cooler air, the changing of the leaves, the crispness in the mornings when you walk out the door on your way to school or work.

… the leaves start to change color, and there is that crispness outside that when you step out the door, you just know it’s Fall. {My favorite months of the year . . . #Autumn #Fall #Harvest}

A blogger from Oxfordshire wonders what people mostly do when Autumn presents itself.

Autumn time brings so many colours and textures that it can be hard not to fall for those beautiful colour palettes nature presents to us. The vegetable garden also presents us with many colourful surprises worth using as decoration. It is the time when we get enthusiastic to go overboard and cover our whole house in all sorts of pumpkins, nuts and leaf garland.

The Oxfordshire Country Living Blog  has been

absolutely loving the change in the season. {5 Things to do this Autumn}

She (or he) normally hates the cold and the dark, but she has been trying to embrace each season for it’s own beauty and welcomes Autumn, drinking hot Apple and Cinnamon Tea.

No drink smells as Autumnal as apple and cinnamon. {5 Things to do this Autumn}

Many communities celebrate the harvest. Christadelhpians also thank the Divine Creator for all the good things we have received throughout the year and how He now also has provided to store enough food to go through Winter. The fullness of summer and abundance of harvest may also be found in the satisfying plenitude of life in Christ. Here in West Europe we may find lots of place which, at times, could be a safe haven for those who wanted to worship God without taking part in heathen festivals and pagan traditions.

The colourful season we are now facing comes for many after they went abroad to enjoy better weather than we are used to in Belgium. Most people consider Summertime the time to pick up vitamin D and to store enough energy for our darker days in Wintertime. After the renewal time for energy our eyes get another renewal time, namely to have lots of fantasies going through our head. Nature offers us such a wide range of smashing colours and special lights, our fantasy can be stimulated, and as such we also feel a positiveness to tackle this windy and rainy season.

Apple and Cinnamon TeaHomemade Pumpkin Pie for Thanksigiving - Stock Photo - ImagesWhen walking through the fields and forests we can breathe an air reminding us of life and death. After a lovely walk nothing is lovelier than having the smells coming from the kitchen, bringing us all sorts of wildlife dishes, warm drinks and herb teas. Pumpkins are the seasonal ingredient for all sorts of dishes and soups. Some herbs from the garden are welcome to be used in a potluck dish to share. [Ingredients including: basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, lavender, lemon verbena, Tulsi (Holy Basil), anise hyssop and garlic.]

For many people in this commercial materialist world the harvest is not so important any more as in previous centuries. Most of the people in the West do not have any problem to buy food. For them there is no shortage. Most of them have also no inner connection any more with the different seasons. Shops are helping to get people over that feeling of seasons, by already presenting Christmas articles from September to October. (Every year Halloween, Sint Nicholas, Christmas and Easter are presented earlier to the public.) Though supermarkets may bring in lots of goods from abroad, in a certain way the vegetables of the season dominate the plate.

There’s always sowing, growing or harvesting going on. Though nothing can beat our harvest in October when squash and pumpkins are ready! {Autumn 🧡 Harvest}

Whether it’s walking along an English hedgerow and harvesting the blackberries, or digging up veg from the garden or allotment, nothing is more heartening than cooking with something fresh out of the earth. Somehow it tastes so much better. {5 Things to do this Autumn}

It’s a time to cozy up in your house, eat delicious stews and soups that are too hot for the Summer, wear fuzzy socks and thick warm robes in the morning while you sip your coffee and watch the sunrise. {My favorite months of the year . . . #Autumn #Fall #Harvest}

When we come back from a walk, often it is already to dark in the house, and as such we want to have some extra atmosphere lights.

Welcoming in the darker evenings by stringing up fairy lights, and lighting candles. Make a little Autumnal display and change up some of the cushions for a cosier Autumnal feel. Try adding warmer tones, and cosier textures, it’s amazing how a change as small as cushions and throws can change the feel of a room. {5 Things to do this Autumn}

At home in a cosy chair we can pick up the Bible and be with our thoughts by the Giver of this all. It is the ideal time to think about Him Who makes everything possible. He Who Creates and Gives. With all that abundance that we receive, let us not forget those who are in need.

19 “When you are reaping in the field, and you overlook a sheaf, don’t return to get it. Let it remain for the foreigner, the orphan, or the widow, in order that the Lord your God may bless everything you undertake.{Deuteronomy 24:19 International Standard Version (ISV)}

Whatever we do let us showing to others how we as children of God are thankful for what we receive from Him and how we can share with others.

Let us also be very careful, having now months coming where certain traditions are not in accordance with God’s Will. We face moments when people go to deep in thinking about death and share ideas about the dead which are not according to what Scripture teaches about them. for some

The veil is thinning between our world and the spirit world. It is time to celebrate the cycle between life and death. Samhain is known as the witch’s new year. {Samhain Blessing and Ritual Ideas}

Many may come attracted by such pagan festivals like Halloween.

There are many ways to celebrate this turning of the wheel. Some celebrate the final harvest, while others focus on honoring the Gods and Goddesses. Still some spend the time honoring their ancestors. {Samhain Blessing and Ritual Ideas}

What may going on in your head now the days are shortening and darkness with strange sounds may be lurking outdoors?

Do you keep to certain traditions?

How do you look at this time of year?

What traditions/rituals/routines do you have for welcoming Autumn?

There is a quiet light that shines in every heart. . . .

Dutch translation / Nederlandse vertaling: Een stil Licht dat in elk hart schijnt

Purplerays

There is a quiet light that shines in every heart. . . . It is what illuminates our minds to see beauty, our desire to seek possibility, and our hearts to love life. Without this subtle quickening our days would be empty and wearisome, and no horizon would ever awaken our longing. Our passion for life is quietly sustained from somewhere in us that is wedded to the energy and excitement of life……

When you are at your lowest point,

At the lowest point in your life you need the guts and strength to see further than the horizon, but know that deep in you there is often more than you would think. Even when we do not feel like a great change could be coming, you should get out of the pitch trusting that also for you somewhere there (perhaps far away) shall shine the light of a bright morning-star willing to give you new energy and at last opening the doors which seemed so tightly closed.

Purplerays

When you are at the your lowest point, you are open to the greatest change.
Strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming
the things you thought you couldn’t do.

The present moment is all you have

“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have.”
~Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now

“Consciousness is the ability to release the old and embrace the new with the awareness that all things end at the appropriate time and that all things begin at the appropriate time.

This truth is difficult to learn to live with because human beings seek stability – the absence of change. Therefore becoming conscious means living fully in the present moment, knowing that no situation or person will be exactly the same tomorrow.

As change does occur, we work to interpret it as a natural part of life and strive to ‘flow with it,’ as the Tao Te Ching counsels, and not against it. Trying to make things remain the same is useless as well as impossible.

Our task is to contribute the best of our energy to every situation with the understanding that we influence, but do not control, what we will experience tomorrow.”

~ Carolyn Myss, Anatomy of the Spirit, p.241

Building a low-carbon world: the sixth industrial revolution

To avoid destroying our relationship with the planet > need to make radical changes + revolutionise way we use energy + the type of energy we use.

Lord (Nicholas) Stern = former Chief Economist of the World Bank + Professor of Economics and Government at the London School of Economics + well known author of ‘The Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change’ published in 2007  > led the way in explaining the economic theory of climate change + author of the acclaimed book A Blueprint for a Safer Planet: how to manage climate change and create a new era of progress and prosperity, published in 2009.

5 industrial revolutions so far: mechanisation of textiles; steam; electricity and steel; automobiles; information technology (still going) + now we need an energy industrial revolution (the 6th revolution).

we have to achieve a decarbonised economy by 40 years from now.

Carbon energy consumption = destroy our relationship with the planet, if we don’t carry out radical changes to the way we use energy + the type of energy we use from now on.

  • At the current rate, the planet’s temperature might rise by 5 ˚C or even more by the end of this century, i.e. to levels not seen before on Earth for at least 30 million years.
  • Conceptual science predicted and measured GHG in the atmosphere long before now and there’s evidence that El Niño and La Niña events are more frequent now.

we need to make radical changes to the way we use energy and the type of energy we use, everywhere in the world and in every sector = Energy efficiency easiest way to start.

if we fail in managing climate change, we will fail to stop poverty

Life isn’t unfair

A thirty something, addicted to music and books, like many others in this world, may have many questions about this life in her head, but unlike many she can still say that life isn’t unfair. And that is not what many dare to say. The home country of her husband is being destroyed more and more day by day and they could quickly go ahead and even shout out how unfair life is but, giving it a second thought, they see also parts in it which don’t let them break down completely.

It is not bad this lady gets stuff out of her mind from time to time. A way to get some thoughts getting from our shoulders is to let them loose in the out. Also by writing down what bothers us we can get rid of certain worrying thoughts or even better, we can share our thoughts so that they not only loosen ourselves but also others.

The writer of the blog reminds us that we often forget in our life full of stress that there are so many reasons to be thankful and instead complain far too much. In many industrialised countries we might consider that a big problem. People are having so much and are seeing others having so much that they bother more about what the others have and they do not. Jealousy makes many people in the world of abundance very unhappy.

Having a rooftop above the head, being able to put a heather on, many keep harping on the weather. Others like to complain about the job or about the prizes in the supermarkets getting higher. They often have enough food and are teasing others about what to eat. Many may have a lot of things around them which they do not like, but most of them forget how many people in the East or in the South can only dream of our bare minima.

In I have so many reasons to be thankful the writer brings into attention that what many of the Western public long have forgotten. How many senses do we really still want to use properly?

Some may blame the pollution having many of us not having any more the pleasures of smell. Sense of smell should bring us lots of memories and desires. With our eyes we than can see all those flowers, all those colours which wave and tell their story in the wind. How many in the West do still want to hear those stories and notice all those animals which move around in that colourful world?

Going into the Autumn season the world is changing colour and red comes more to have its say in this world where the wind wants to make enough noise to have it tell her own stories whilst the branches of the trees dare to react and go to fight with the powers of nature.

We shall not find it warm enough to take some naps in the sunshine, but our wandering and now and then standing still, we shall still be able to feel truly connected with the nature and earth around us. In this time of turmoil, creepy sounds at night, we can feel at ease indoors, close by the fire, or having it nicely warm while we do know Winter shall be coming soon and bringing the bitter cold. Every day becomes shorter, but we want to fight the darkness and have found the candles “for having a soothing source of light” whenever we feel it is needed. The candle light also can bring memories and whispers in our ears that what we would love to hear, from the past. and in the cosiness of the warm living room we may not forget that we are blessed to have all this around us what can make life easier.

Some SFI Thoughts by Geoffrey West

Many may not like the rain and forget that without it we would not have so much green. So we should be happy it nourishes our surroundings and let us “listen to its beautiful sound”.

Do not forget to think about all the beautiful things around us and about the many everyday things, so many we so often just take for granted. This coming season let it not get us down in the ‘depri world’ but get it down on our knees to be thankful for all what wee have received before and for all what is in front of us.

Life shows us more than enough possibilities to make the best out of every situation and we need to adjust our expectations. I each and every second there are little moments to treasure, we just have to see life through the eyes of love to uncover them.{Is life unfair?}

Like so many magazines we too would say to listen to your inner voice and to enjoy life.

We are driven by our thoughts and emotions and every single magazine tells you to listen to your inner voice but still your life isn’t happy. {Change your habits to lead a happy life}

In Autumn we may find the wind turning from one site to the other, wanting to push us from here to there, and letting us think no way is the good one.

Life isn’t a one way road and there are always possibilities, you may not see them directly but if you start to dig deeper you will find them.
Instead of waiting for big changes take your life in your hands and start to see all those small things that can change your life without too much efforts – and as always, many small changes sums up to be sometimes more effective than turning your life upside down. {Change your habits to lead a happy life}

In Summer we got the energy from the sun and lots of us went to sunny places to charge our batteries. So, let our full batteries now give enough power to come through Winter, but let it also give new impulses to take time to contemplate and to mediate about which way we want to continue and where we want to go to.

MissFaith Munich knows also that we all struggle at certain times and forget the reasons why we started to do something in first place. She is aware that others may start to doubt but that we are better to believe in ourself.

whatever comes along you can succeed. People who start to doubt because of others may lose track and fall, but if you stand up for your dreams and show all disbeliever that you will make it you will create a certainty within yourself.  {Never stop to be a dreamer…}

Now comes the time there will be lesser outdoor-activities and more time to stay indoors at our own little place. Perhaps it is now not so bad to take some more time to come to ourselves. Why not making time to get a more relaxed mind. That means not putting our mind asleep, but giving place to a creative mind which

can bring you forward so stand on your toes, open your arms wide, close your eyes and breathe – life isn’t that complicated! {Never stop to be a dreamer…}If not you, who else will follow your dreams? {Never stop to be a dreamer…}

To come to a relaxed mind come to trust yourself and trust the loved ones around you. as the writer of the mentioned articles also knows:

To rebuild life from within, a wonderful thought but at the same time quite scary.
It seems so much easier to build our life from the outside.
Dress up, sit in a fancy restaurant, surround yourself with hip friends and enjoy.
Easy as that, isn’t it? {Rebuilding Life from Within}

The coming Winter we can take some more time for ourselves, getting closer to the ‘one within’.

The earlier you realize that our “within” is the essential part the better as you haven’t caused too much damage within a short time. {Rebuilding Life from Within}

  • Act Your Age (fernandogros.com)
    The common line is your teens are a time to experiment and enjoy the freedom you will not have in later life. But, this might be changing as social media is apt to keep all our teenage mistakes alive, digitally, for the rest of our lives (especially with video and photos). Moreover, many of the life-defining decisions my grandparent’s generation made in their teens (what career, who to marry, where to live) are now deferred into people’s twenties and even thirties.In fact, being a teenager today might be more about experiencing (or resisting) a narrowing of horizons. The internet is making a lot of teens more tribal, with narrower, rather than broader tastes in music, film and the arts. And, while many key decisions in life are being deferred, prejudices and attitudes are sometimes being hardened earlier, especially in countries where the effects of globalisation are being strongly resisted.So, the teenage years shouldn’t just be a time to experiment with identity and freedom, but also with ideas. It’s a time to learn how to make friends, but also, how to work and collaborate with people who we maybe don’t get along with that well, or perhaps don’t even understand. It’s a time to keep the candle of cultural curiosity alight, before the 24/7 news cycle, internet content farms like BuzzFeed and the workplace water cooler try to snuff it out.

    In the everyday world, the outward changes I’ve made (and been forced to make by the power of fate, a power that seemed to know more than I did about the beauty of having faith) – finally leaving a job that supported the parasitic financial industry, and abandoning the vain and empty hope of a ‘bigger, brighter future’ in London where I would one day ‘make it’, or at least be able to keep up with the others ‘making it’ – to become what, in our current success-obsessed culture, would be classed a ‘failure’.The old skin has shed away, and as I get used to living with the eyes and hands of a beginner, and continue to integrate all that I have learnt piecemeal these last few years, I realise that becoming whole and remaining sane in an increasingly insane world is more of a struggle than it needs to be because our culture – and us, as active participants in it – refuses to acknowledge the central part that limits play in balancing our relationship to the world around us.

We find there is no end to its web of complexity. Yet there is nothing theoretical or academic about the family that doesn’t have enough food to eat, that cannot afford to see a doctor, that has no right in some countries even to debate or protest. The more we write and intellectualise, the more we criticise and contest, the more insoluble become the many crises of the world.

Before the Sun Rises

When single people get awake they might feel lonely in bed. They may feel emptiness in their life. They might think they are there in that huge world of enemies, standing on their own facing so many difficulties.

They should become aware of the small things which change every day and get to see the beauty of nature giving life every day over and over again.

Even when awakening when the birds are still voiceless while the streets are not yet in rhythm with the duties and desires of their denizens, we should come to feel the blood streaming and the forces which give life to so many living things around us, plants, animals and other human beings.

Whilst we sip from a nice cup of coffee, our minds should come ordered to believe we can do it again this new day.

Let us be ready to tackle the day again and move forward, in the knowledge we do have Somebody very close to us.

That many people their eyes may be opened and get to see the One behind all the beauty around us. that they come to recognise the Master Hand of the Divine Creator, Who gives life.

Getting fate in your change to positiveness

From all the previous writings on the subject of getting over bad thoughts and feeling depressed, coming to more positiveness in our lives, we could see the importance of the influence of circumstances and other persons in our life.

The Mind of Evil

The Mind of Evil (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

We should be aware that bad people can influence us very negatively and can bring decay in our life-world. Living in this world we shall more than once have to bite the bullet and have to see that we do not find a rotten apple which can spoil the whole barrel. every person in this world sends out some energy. This can be negative or positive energy. We best choose to have more contacts with those who send such positive energy.

Martina McGowan who tries to  help people transform their lives; some physically, many mentally, writes:

One of the best ways to achieve your goals is to surround yourself with positive people. The energy these people have to tap into never seems to let them down, and they are achieving the great goals in life that they desire and dream about.

Positive people can help you stay on track and energize you toward your own goals. Many times these successful people share the same goals that  you have and are happy to pass on their wisdom and their techniques. So how do you find these positive, like-minded people? {How to Surround Yourself with More Positive People}

In Attitude of Unstopable Success we and Anil Singh looked at some elements which can contribute for a common cause of humanism, like Purity, Peace, Power, Patience, Positivism and Perfection. Anil Singh likes to speak about F.A.C.E. as the index of our mind, which is not a bad idea.

In student’s perspective, FACE can be redefined as:
F- Focus… on what we want to do.
A- Awareness… of huge knowledge that may help us.
C- Concentration… on what we are getting.
E- Execution… of knowledge in the best possible way. {Check the fate of your FACE.}

We told you already a person first of all had to find the right focus, looking in him or her self and aiming for a goal. To be able to do this the person has to open his or her heart and listen to his or her inner soul. In case we would love to grow in a positive way we have to be willing to open our mind and hearth and to let streams of the world fertilise our ground. We should be prepared to listen to others their advice and to weigh the pros and cons. We should be willing to turn over many things more than once in our mind, avoiding we got stuck or glued on conservatism or chained to our past.

With the willingness to learn we should always try to have an open mind and be willing that nothing in this world is clearly “black and white”. We must accept all shades of colour. In that colourful world we should never want everything to turn around us, but on the other hand should reach out to others.

Reach out to people at your work, in your circle of friends, or even to people you don’t know well who seem to exemplify positivism. Ask them what it is that makes them continue to have such a positive outlook and persona while reaching their objectives. {How to Surround Yourself with More Positive People}

Opening ourselves to others does not implement that others should come to ‘eat us’ and ‘crush us’. those people who would love to break us, we best leave them soon at the side. they are not the right company for us. Life is too short to waste energy on such negative people who love to crush others.  Their attitude, the same as our attitude can make or break you.

It is virtually indisputable that your attitude determines how far you will go in life, and a positive mental outlook can help you achieve optimal success. {Your Attitude Is the Win!}

Life is too precious to let it ruined by others. do not give them a chance by being one line in front of them. Do not worry leaving them behind. But as we also warned, do not stay put. You do not have to give your place up, but you also should know you could also share places in this world where many thoughts could live next to each other. Respect all those around you and find ways to connect with them in a positive way. And those you do not think would fit in your cupboard, allow them to be there and tolerate them. Open your heart and network with good people showing to all your willingness to come forward.

Positive Mental Attitude 2012

Positive Mental Attitude 2012 (Photo credit: nme421)

Having a positive mental attitude helps you cope better with challenges. When you are put to the test, and you will be, you are much  more likely to find your inner strengths and overcome adversity. And that strength often rises from your winning attitude. Whether or not you believe that you have all of the right tools, skills, knowledge, or resources, your attitude can get you through the toughest of times and help you come out on top. {Your Attitude Is the Win!}

On the other hand, an attitude filled with negative overtones makes everything much harder to get through. You cannot win when you go into the contest if you go in with a mindset prepared to lose! If you expect to do well, your attitude will create positive, winning thoughts that will help you persevere. {Your Attitude Is the Win!}

Running the race does not have to be done on your own. It is much more fun to run with others. It also has not to be a race with a competition for life or death, in one way. We all should know we all shall end up in the same place. The sepulchre shall be waiting for us. One or the other day the light shall go out for us and for those around us; for each, on an other time. We should best always be ready. Prepared that in case the light-switch is turned over tomorrow we shall not have to regret we have not done something. When the moment come we should be able to say we are ready to face that death, and have not to fear for what we would have done wrong.
If death comes tomorrow, are you ready to face it?

Always make sure you are in the clear, having nothing to regret and without guilt.

No matter how discouraging things may get or how intently others may try to dissuade you, do not envy the others and always stay calm. Not let you be intimidated by those who have other goals in their life than yours. Do try to go for the most precious, but perhaps the goal where the least persons are interested in.

With your winning attitude firmly in place, you will be unstoppable.

A positive outlook helps you maintain your focus on your goals with a tunnel vision that eliminates many of the negative distractions and keeps you on a chartered course to success. {Your Attitude Is the Win!}

At the Lifestyle magazine Stepping Toes you might find different articles giving you advice to direct your goals and to find ways to make the best out of your life. There as here is given the advice to find the best goal for your life. There are the normal challenges offered to everyone in life, having to grow up, study, work, making a family, a.o., goals we are all presented. Those goals of the world change. At Stepping Toes and on this site you might find that there is also a better specific goal which does not change and is laid out in front of everybody in this world, but most people do not seem to see it. Though we do agree that that goal is also perhaps the most difficult one to reach, because we all do have to find the path to the very small gate. When we will be able to find it, we shall be able to see what the writer Isaiah saw already in a prophetic vision.

Mind Mapping

Mind Mapping (Photo credit: sirwiseowl)

Before we shall be able to come to that gate we shall have to manage the play-field here in this world. Living in this universe we shall find many challenges which can enrich us but also which could be so dangerous, giving us an impression of being very luxurious, but making us more poor. Those challenges may bring us lots of material gain but make us spiritually empty.

We should build up our life looking for quotes and affirmations that better reflect our new path so that we can gain the inspiration to persevere in our new and right direction.

All the stress which may surround us we do have to put aside. Stress, tension and pressure are the negatives we should try to minimise in our lives. To do that we should be prepared to have a listening ear, a watchful eye, and a searching spirit, examining all things laid our in front of us. Prepared to continuously learning things we should be pleased we can go every day on a ‘challenge trip’ and enjoy every excursion life offers each day.

By recollecting the state of being, keeping an open mind willing to absorb knowledge, but what is very important at the same time having the willingness no only to learn but also to change, according the new knowledge is understood. Exercising the action plan we then should come to execute the mind power. {Check the fate of your FACE.}

Life may be like a ten-speed bike where we have to learn that suffering produces perseverance we should try to put aside our bad experiences and should try driving forward instead of backwards, trying to make our dreams with a plan whereby nothing can stop us to have the right mental attitude from achieving our goal. When we love and cultivate that which is pure and try to sow good seeds and harvests in the garden of our heart, we shall, when we try to nurture the goodness with patience, be able to succeed. But then there may be no bitterness in the heart.

We should not be afraid to fail, if we really try to do our best, because we should know that God doesn’t call the qualified and everybody receives a place in His heart. We do not have to fear human beings and should rest our delight on Jehovah, trying to find the inspiring divine spark by going to look for light and guidance in the Word of God, provided in the Holy Scriptures or the Bible. When we get up in the morning and pray for the Lord’s blessings he shall grant them.

When we do give ourselves in the hands of God and are willing to change ourselves, He shall mould us in a good shape like the best sculptor. For Him able to bring us in the good shape and coming to success in our life, we shall have to understand that such a change will demand an unending process, a continuous state and conditional approach that needs to be monitored at regular intervals for a greater change.

Time is the most powerful, dynamic and perfect change than any other change. It teaches us lot for a greater change in life. {Change for Gain….}

Anil Singh rightly says:

1. When we learn to change along with change, we survive.
2.When we do not change with change we die (fail).

The Supreme Being demands a change in our heart. to become successful in our life we do have to put away all the negative feelings, the ones we do have from our selves and the ones others try to impose on us. Getting older and wiser we normally should get more knowledge to change. In this world we do see that lots of people are afraid to change. Such fear is in a way ungrounded and build on distrust instead of on trust. therefore to be able to progress we not only do need the trust in ourselves, in our Maker, but in such situation we need more courage for change.

When we have learned the benefit of change but not changed, we need more education for change.
When we have experienced the change but not changed, we need more practice for change.
When we have suffered by change but not changed, we need more determination power for change. {Change for Gain….}

It is not bad to take in consideration what Mr. Singh writes further:

• People who will change before change will rule.
• People who will change after change will survive.
• People who will change with change will succeed.
• People who will cause the change will lead.
• People who will not change on change will fail. {Change for Gain….}

We do have to make the right choice if we would like to succeed in life. this will require regular change, a good attitude to change and a positive view in such change. Creating a positive view in ourselves we should not be afraid to have bigger dreams, and having greater ambitions.  We would have to like to climb higher on the ladder, not only with a greater belief in our selves, but also with a growing belief in the One Who can bring us much further than we would ever be able to do on our own.

Wanting to get some progressive change to positiveness our aim should be to look for the better, growing in knowledge, getting more wisdom by looking at the right places, willing to do more than we at the beginning would think we could do. Having the will to change and to commit our selves to that change, our commitment should be deeper, willing to go further than most people. Fro being able to reach our goal we should make our efforts wider and vigorous.

Anil Singh points out that those changes have to be made in our mind, for

If we can dream it we can do it,
If we can think it we can initiate it,
If we can visualize it we can create it,
If we can execute it we can complete it. {Change for Gain….}

to be able to dream we have to clear our mind of bad thought and frustration and liberate it so it can go on adventurous routes. We should allow ourselves to pounder around in a world where everything is possible.

If we can manage to do every thing with accuracy, attention, adjustment, belief, courage, cooperation, commitment, creativity, determination, devotion, discipline, egoless, emotional, enthusiasm, freedom, faith, forgiveness, greatness, hope, honesty, intimacy, intigrity, initiative, inspiration, justice, kindness, knowledgefull, leadership, lovefull, lawfull, learning, meaningfull, optimistic, openness, purity, peace, power, positivism, patience, perfection, quality, respect, responsible, simple, sensible, servicable, secrifice, truth, tolerance, temperament, unity, understanding, vision, values, willingness & attitude of gratitude then we can achieve highest level of success in life. {Our success in our hand}

In each of us, the Creato has implanted lots of possibilities; We do have to make them true. Being created in the likeness of God, we ourselves should allow ourselves to grow in that likeness, and allow ourselves to be changed by the Upper Hand of the Maker. then we are going to see that

Change is 100% possible by:
• Willingness to change,
• Courage to face the change,
• Determined mind to make change,
• Purity of thought power for a change.
• Continuously trying till change has occurred. {Change for Gain….}

Take on the good attitude from today onwards:

Make your mind up that from now on you are going to paint mental pictures of yourself that are successful and positive. Picture yourself as being successful in each task and mentally wipe out any thoughts of failure. You are the world’s number one product and you will become what you think. Have faith in yourself and believe that good is going to come your way. Don’t fill your head with discouragement; think of yourself as a strong loving, and helpful person who is in control. It will make it easier to sell yourself to others regardless of who you are trying to influence or for what purpose. Make peace with yourself and move forward to become a more complete person both at home at and your job. {Attitude spoken of by }

  • Positivism (aroojbhattiblog.wordpress.com)
    Positivism, or positive philosophy, is a philosophical doctrine that denies any validity to metaphysics or speculation. It is sometimes associated with empiricism because it maintains that there is no answer to metaphysical questions and that scientific knowledge is the only knowledge. The works of English philosopher Francis Bacon (1561-1626), Anglo-Irish philosopher George Berkeley (1685-1753), and Scottish philosopher David Hume (1711-1776) contain the basic tenets of positivism in an implicit form. However, the term is specifically applied to the system of French philosopher and social scientist Auguste Comte (1798-1857), who developed the coherent doctrine and is the acknowledged founder of positivism.
