On our Mistakes, sometimes we feel hopeless, and lonely

To remember

  • The  burden of being Human, is to be moral, and distinguish good, from wrong, or even evil.

  • asking for forgiveness = most beautiful thing for a heavy heart.

Hope It's the Only Thing We Have

Loneliness is an

Essential friend

On our way

To bravery.

Ibn Arabi

I got to confess I had committed many mistakes through my life, a few very costly, and what is worst, the most grave with no remedy!

As we age, we slowly, or suddenly we realize, this fact, and grieve us, what to do?

When you do not even have the chance to ask for forgiveness, or do nothing to repair them, your heart grows heavy with pain, and despair, and we only have a tool in repentance, and prayer if you are a believer, those who are not, I wonder what they do? What their hearts tell them to do, and how can they lift the heavy weight of guilt from their hearts, I guess despair, pain, and tears and regret are common to our Human condition, and also our burden.

To have a conscience it’s good, but…

Vivamos Videre, the more we live, the more we are a witness to life

Kone, Krusos, Kronos

Castle od San Angelo Rome

“Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn! Look to this Day! For it is Life, the very Life of Life. In its brief course lie all the Verities and Realities of your Existence. The Bliss of Growth, The Glory of Action, The Splendor of Beauty; For Yesterday is but a Dream, And To-morrow is only a Vision; But To-day well lived makes Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness, And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope. Look well therefore to this Day! Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!”

Kalidasa

The more we grow old, the more things we experience in life, some of them a great surprise, and a thing that makes us ponder at life itself.

It’s meaning, and our lot in it.

And we talk, and feel according as to what we consider it was good, or bad, but we did gain anything on it?

I mean even…

Discovering our narrative, a process we call Life

In the midst of the journey of our life we may find ouself in a dark forest, for the straight path was lost, and still there in that jungle, we may find so many tracks to follow that after so many years we still are not yet sure which path or which direction to take.

Step by step in our lives, we have to explore the world and experience things that may or may not appeal to us, bother us, or seem reprehensible to us. Even if we would like to turn back the clock, we are not allowed to do so and have to keep moving forward.

It looks like we are always in a learning process, but by reading “backwards” in our memory we will be able to gain a fuller understanding of what happened earlier and if we get to know the tricks of the trade, we shall be able to have some idea of what may happen next.

Kone, Krusos, Kronos

ON THINGS WE DISCOVER AS WE AGE

Old Man Contemplating

Life receives too many adjectives, but life it’s a verb, that it unfolds as we live, uncertainty a first, in childhood, and at our youth undecided, and shy, as we mature during our third decade we choose this, or that, hoping it will work out to reveal what we think we are, on the beginning of the fourth decade we tune, and correct course if in need of, asserting, and throwing out, what we believe of no use, friends, relationships, jobs, locations, and whatnot.

Geting Rid From Old Things

By the course when we arrive to the last years, we can see with clarity, the result from our work, and we can correct, and straighten certain things out, not all of them, since in life you cannot go back, only try again for new routes, different tactics to our general strategy, now hard to change into something else…

Learn to say “I’m sorry”!

You are not an angel; and as a human being, you are likely to make mistakes and offend your partner. You may not mean it, but your actions and/or inactions may hurt your partner. Sometimes you may offend even when you had the best of intentions. In such instances, it is a sign of respect to acknowledge your mistake and apologise. Saying “I’m sorry” implies that you respect your partner’s feelings and you are not happy you hurt them. It is a show of love and respect to render an apology when you hurt your partner; learn to say “I’m sorry” as much as possible!

Trouble in my brain

Who does not want to be loved? Who is not longing for attention, recognition, acknowledgement and for being recognised as a human being, to be seen and heard and why not for receiving a hug?

E.T.'s blog

I’m so confused.
There’s a big mess in my head.
I don’t know where to start and where to end.
There’s no problem in my life.
The only problems are made by me.
I’ve got no big threats against my life.
Then why is my brain fried?
Problems are problems, if you give them the space to be problems.
Because the only one recognizing those problems, is you.
It’s your brain telling you there’s a problem, but when is it really one?
My brain is fried with problems.
Or aren’t they such things?
Are they just thoughts, which pass my mind too many at the same time, so that I can’t see which one is which anymore?
I can’t differentiate between them.
I want things but do I have the right to?
I’m aware of my past and my failures.
I try to stop myself from doing weird things.
But…

you can’t wake a person that is pretending to be asleep

To remember

  • Learning to love parts of me that no one claps for. (Rudy Francisco)
  • Listening to myself > carrying a lot of unspoken stress.
  • Environment allowed to silence inner voice.
  • Want to feel that I am living the best life possible.
  • Did not give appropriate attention to blind spots in my life =>area where a person’s view is obstructed.
  • re-examine my life … again
  • We think we are safe in the bubble => we actually put ourselves in danger by becoming powerless.
  • group mentality doesn’t really offer fertile ground for creativity.
  • responsible for own moral + ethical landscape.
  • search for your blind spots
  • Examine your environment + ask hard questions
  • Freedom comes when we speak the truth. Even if our voices shake.
  • When truth revealed >  blind spot = weak spot.

I was listening to myself speak lately and I realised that I was carrying a lot of unspoken stress. The emotions that I felt caught me completely off guard and I wondered why I allowed my environment to silence my inner voice.
I want to feel that I am living the best life possible.
I want to think that I am comfortable with my choices and that they are intentional.
I want to believe that I learned from previous mistakes and experiences.
I want people to experience me as a free spirit with an eclectic view on life.
Newsflash …!
I am so comfortable inside my own identity that I did not give appropriate attention to the blind spots in my life.

Darkest just before dawn

Marcus Ampe when looking over the happenings of 2016 told his public that when we should have to choose a colour for 2016 it probably would be ‘black’. Even the darkest black colour you might find.

Certainly here in Belgium and neighbouring countries we have seen many black moments caused by people living very close to us. Hundreds of people who lived in cities like Brussels (Molenbeek district), Verviers, Charleroi, Mons, just to name some of the most mentioned living quarters of those who killed many in Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt and further away many cities in Syria. A so called liberation of human race was on their lips by causing so much agony in name for their sort of Islam which has nothing to do with real Islam, a religion which has ‘salam‘ or ‘peace‘ in its name.

2016 may have been the year where Bad came over Good and brought with it Hate over Love. Though many still may believe in

Good over Bad. Love over Hate. {When it looks like hate is winning}

May we really believe that

“Good always wins”?

When we look around us it seems just the opposite. Those who do not mind to swindle and do whatever they can to make themself rich without taking care of others, seem to win. Marcus Ampe warns us for the political scene which is changing drastically almost everywhere in the world, not for the good. He warns for the populism which is going over Europe and the United States as a virus. As a Christadelphian he likes to look at what is prophesied in the Bible and by looking at that sacred book is not at all surprised of what is going on. In his eyes we can follow the notated signs of those old writings and see that we are heading to a third World War, though it may still many years before us. He likes to compare the last few years with the 1920ies and showed us also how the present days are very much related to the 1930ies, which should sincerely worry us.

He does not speak of an apocalyptic change like certain Christians may do, but likes to warn us to prepare ourselves and our kids for the coming period where very right wing politicians may gain lots of votes and even come into power.

Perhaps Jyoti Chauhan Singh, an Indian lady who reads Tarot cards and came to live in the United States, perhaps thinks on similar lines, saying the same as Mr. Ampe that

it is happening in every corner of this world. People around the world are bringing this change by their votes, by their say, and by their actions. Be it Brexit or current US election, or stimulated political environment in my home country India. This change is too much. Too much for us to handle and accept, and to adapt to. {When it looks like hate is winning}

Is that not the danger we shall have to face in the coming months?

Are not many politicians going to make use of and are going to instigate people against others and nourish the fear many already have?

For Mrs. Chauhan Singh the present President elect in the States was

not elected against a virtuous leader. It was not the fight between good vs evil. It was just bad and worse fighting with each other. You guess which is worse and which is bad. But, it was never a winning situation for USA, no matter who would have won. {When it looks like hate is winning}

speaking at CPAC in Washington D.C. on February 10, 2011. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I do not know why Clinton would have been so bad, because honestly her stupidity about the e-mails was not really a criminal act, like so many Americans would like us to believe. If they consider such stupidity already a crime or sin than the many frauds and bankruptcies of Donald Trump which many Americans never seemed to have remembered or noticed, would be “cardinal sins and death penalty crimes

We also may notice that many people seem to have some nostalgia to some times they had it better, though at those times they ware hoping for better times and for having more material richness. But as we could know beforehand all those modern gadgets they can have today are not making them more happy. The opposite today lots of people are more lonely and feeling poverty more harsh than years ago, though we may see less poverty stricken people. Less tramps on the streets.

With a smiling or is it a sarcastic face Mr. Ampe may tell us that many people would love to go back to a time they are imaging there was, but which has never been so. Mrs. Chauhan Singh alsy pointing to the same fact

With this election, Americans have spoken very clearly that they want to bring back ‘good old days’. Doesn’t matter if those good old days are going to be good for rest of us or not. They want to go back. They want someone with traditional values, traditional promises. Although seeing the lifestyle of elect president I hardly think he is an epitome of traditionalism. {When it looks like hate is winning}

Mr Ampe analysed some body language of Mr. Trump and showed us how clever that man must be playing with his public. This cleverness should make us even be more alert. He also compare certain tactics with the way how Erdogan managed to come in his dictatorial position today. How he was patient enough to go from mayor of Istanbul, even having spent some years in prison after his mayorship to come stronger and more radicalised out of it, imposing the traditional Muslim values and going in against the civil state of the old creator of a dream state Turkey.

We shall have to wait and see  to know how Donald Trump is going to use his power and how Marine Le Pen is going to drive her wedge through France which seem to be the under the spell of Muslim extremism and Islam fear.

Mr Ampe, like Mrs. Chauhan Singh seems to do also says we may not loose hope and contrary to how lots of people are concentrating on their own self, we should look more to others and try to come up for the weaker ones.
Mrs. Chauhan Singh writes

Losing hope is never an option. If we are given this result, we must be hopeful that there must be something good coming out of it. Give him a chance. He has already shocked all of us; he may surprise us too. Do not lose hope. Instead hope for him to change his ways, his words, and his actions, for the betterment of this country. {When it looks like hate is winning}

When it looks like hate is winning

One of Mr. Ampe his main teachings, also as a retired teacher of ballet history, is that we should learn from history and that we should make others aware of possible traps lots of people in the past did not notice but became victim of. According to him by knowing the past we can avoid the same mistakes, which have been repeated so many times, because people did not know their history.

We always shall look at things and would love to see things changed. Man is not easy satisfied.

One also can wonder when  our world evolves if/ when and how many people would be ready for such changes, and if they are for the better or for the worse. In most cases lots of people are just not ready for the changes taking place.

Problem is not in these major changes but our inability to accept them. {When it looks like hate is winning}

One might also ask whether we shall be able to find enough people who shall be really wanting to pursue peace. To find enough people who really want to “raise awareness that peace in itself,” and willing to take steps with which to motivate others to go that track of peace making is something we should go for. Too many may be very confused and may not be sure which dreams might be the best for them. Though according to Mr. Ampe we should come to work together towards mutual peace and to the broadcasting of hope and positive thoughts, trying to take away the confusion there is today and putting right the wrong ideas about some people, religions and ways of life. He believes the change must come from each of us and that we are responsible for the evolution of the day. According to him, we ourselves are to convey the message and have even to adopt a certain attitude and should form a shining example. According to him, there also should be peace as a base in our own daily lives.

This peace will also make the connection with the other and this will be like a snowball effect to be implemented on this world.

When it looks like hate is winning

Life

Sammy Jenny  is a young lady who loves writing, poetry and music. About her blog Sprinkle of thoughts site she says it is  is about pouring out her thoughts about life issues. It’s to inspire and motivate people out there who might be going through certain circumstances and trying to see/live life positively.

For her

Life is but a journey, with its ups and downs bue we are called to be fighters and walking with Faith knowing things will fall in place evntually.

She believes in this life

we go through some situations that can actually make us grow mad;

and says:

I mean you just find yourself screaming and saying all sorts of horrible things out of anger. But have you just sat for a moment and wondered how the other person felt? You might be hurt, disappointed, disgusted and you name it. Yes, we all do make mistakes and they could be so childish,wrong, heartbreaking etc but those words you say, how helpful will they be at the moment? Will the situation change? You’ll tell me ‘if I don’t say these things he won’t understand how bad his actions are‘. {Don’t let it get to you}

No matter what happens in this life perhaps we have to remember that

no one has the right to say you are nobody for we were wonderfully made with a purpose and even if you feel like nothing’s working out for you, you’ll get there eventually.

Just never give up and trust in God. Everything will fall in place and never lose sight of your dream for while they see you as crazy, you will come out glorious and stronger than before. Just never forget that.

So, no matter what you may be going through, let no one try to break u down, let no words of hurt,curse,hate,anger get to u. And when those words do come at you, respond with silence for it kills to see someone you’re trying to break be as silent as a tomb. And if you’re to say anything, just say thank you. Even if they aren’t your blessing with their words, be theirs with your words. But no matter what,don’t let it get to u. {Don’t let it get to you}

Sammy J Speaks

Life should not just be a mistake but a lesson

It should not just be sorrow but joy

It should not just be laborious but fruitful

It should not just be of failures but full of success

It should not just be of misery but wealth

It should not just be full of danger but full of safe paths too

All in all, life should be a mixture of everything

Both good and bad

It isn’t a bed of roses but one with thorns on them

And u need to be strong to get through them

Learn from your mistakes and you shall never make them again

Learn to laugh at your troubles and u shall never lack what to laugh at

Live it the way you want to but be ready to account for it in the end

Be yourself and let people love you for who you…

Failures, mistakes and Initiatives for Excellence and success, Working towards turning a Dream of yours into reality

We all have to have dreams. Without dreams we shall not accomplish much in life.

Dr Austin Ejaife, [an Olorogun, the ‘Ugo’ of Agbon Kingdom] a Professional Tax, Audit, Accounting, Strategy and Global Corporate Governance Consultant, who also wants to be Motivational Speaker, Inspiration mover, Political Critic and Social Crusader with passion for good governance, advocacy and empowerment for Positive Change, reflects how he views and interpret real life issues, current news items from around the world and Nigeria in particular. But he has also some good food for thinking for those in the West as well.

He writes about are do’s and don’ts and knows we all make mistakes and have to live with them, but are better to look forward to the tomorrow which will come–and it is up to us how we choose to face the day ahead of us.

The mistakes of yesterday are in the past, and with the right attitude and some effort, today will find us making fewer. {Leave Yesterday’s Mistakes In The Past… And Bring The Lessons With You So That You Will Not Repeat Them}

In our previous article we looked at some celebrities. Several highly placed people or those who are in the picture for a while may get a certain attitude. It is not weird or strange to find leaders filled with abnormal hubris lacking internal validation. Dr. Austin Ejajaife tells about some wonderful studies, that shows the corroding effects of ego and how leaders are more likely to suffer from disease of fixing fat compensation, acquiring other firms and engaging in other risky strategies to feed their egos. Leaders ought to cultivate humility. {Initiatives For Excellence: Avoiding Arrogance of Power}

Successful people are able to come into the danger zone, becoming a leader, or anyone in a position of power and authority, having to avoid the trap of arrogance of power.

Everything rises and falls on leadership,”

says Dr. John C. Maxwell,

“but knowing how to lead is only half the battle. Understanding leadership and actually leading are two different activities.” {Initiatives For Excellence: 12 Major Signs Of Leadership In Danger (I)}

Dr Austin Ejaife *(Ugo1)* writes

World leaders attending the Progressive Govern...

The key to transforming yourself from someone who understands leadership to a person who successfully leads in the real world is character. Your character qualities activate and empower your leadership ability, or they can stand in the way of your success
Dr. Ted Engstrom  says that organisation succeed or fail for many different reasons.

Even the mature organization or nation is not without its hazards. In many ways the dangers that it faces are more subtle. They are often the result of success rather than failure. {Initiatives For Excellence: 12 Major Signs Of Leadership In Danger (I)}

We would say it is not only leadership in danger but also for our own success we have to be careful not to settle for the status quo. We also should know that new ideas shall bring with them a conflict of interest, and conflict of interest brings internal tension. We continuously have to work around those feelings and cope with that internal tension.

Quality is far more important than quantity. Size or quantity must always be secondary to the effectiveness. Discriminating between breadth and depth is not easy. That is why there is a real danger here. Leaders may have a great desire to expand throughout and beyond our community or to the rest of the world, but if the quality of our products or services is not being continually strengthened, then, we may discover that we have over-extended ourselves. {Initiatives For Excellence: 12 Major Signs Of Leadership In Danger (I)}

We always should know ourselves and have to be realistic about what we can do and what we can handle, never forgetting to listen to others and to look around us, noticing what is going on and how society reacts to certain things. One of those dangers when looking around is that we view a situation from a limited point of view.

The only failures that really exist are choosing to hold onto limiting thoughts such as, “There is nothing we can do to move beyond this situation.” Life is a series of decisions. If something didn’t work out in the past, accept what happened as being an incident from the past, and be willing to move on. If we are spending time trying to change the past, we have limited ourselves from moving forward. Please remind yourself that we cannot change what has already happened. We can change how we feel about past situations. {Turn Your Failure Into Accomplishment!}

Reality (Dream album)

Reality (Dream album) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Lots of people look up at what they think may be the success or happiness of somebody else. They keep comparing themselves with others and get pulled down or frustrated. By doing so they often are limiting themselves.

Limiting beliefs always create limited outcomes. Limited thinking also keeps us stuck from moving beyond the imaginary walls known as our comfort zones. If we really wish to turn failure, disappointment, or frustration into something positive, we need to be willing to step out of the comfort zone arena. Whenever we approach any situation in a limited manner, it is because we are holding onto excuses and fear. When we feel limited or challenged usually also results in feeling discouraged.

Discouragement translates into more excuses; and eventually because of thinking from a limited point of view causes us to stop working on achieving our goal(s). By understanding that in order to experience disappointment or failure, if we can recognise that we made a decision to stop, quit or give up, is only a decision. This incredible insight suggests that if we were to make better decisions we can turn the whole thing around. {Turn Your Failure Into Accomplishment!}

We should remember

When working on goals, instead of approaching the situation as difficult, vague or impossible, let us begin by changing our point of view. By beginning to use positive intentions helps us to view tasks as being possible and manageable. We are changing what we are holding in mind. Instead of responding with,

“Maybe tomorrow… or giving yourself some other excuse,”

make a decision that focuses on easily completing the task. A better response would be,

“I can easily take care of this,”

and give yourself a reasonable period of time to accomplish the task (i.e. by the end of day, week, or month, etc.). By approaching tasks as easy, and also providing a reasonable timeframe, allows us to take the appropriate actions to accomplish the task without getting discouraged. {Turn Your Failure Into Accomplishment!}

The writer of the blog which we advise you to visit, is convinced that

We are marvellous and unique beings, created by a loving God for a purpose that is quite perfectly our own.

Who is to say that our dreams have to be like theirs, or anyone else’s in this world for that matter? Just because someone else dreams of amassing new things, more power, greater wealth, or more fame, does not mean we, too, share the same passion. Perhaps we just want to travel the world more, or dream of a simpler life with less stress and more peace. {Work Towards Turning A Dream Of Yours Into Reality}

Looking at what Douglas Everett says:

“There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.”

Ejaife thinks there is more than simply realizing that we are in charge of choosing our own dreams in life.

We must also realize that within us, we possess the ability to turn those dreams into our reality, if we but dare to take the necessary steps to make them come true. What did you dream of as a child? Have you realized any of those dreams? What do you dream of today? How do you feel when you are focused on those dreams? As children, we often allowed ourselves to dream with the idea that any one of those dreams could come true. But as we grow older, we often times buy into what other people consider reality, and our dreams get pushed aside, packed away, and perhaps even forgotten. {Work Towards Turning A Dream Of Yours Into Reality}

When looking at the screen of your television and hearing about all those celebrities, remind yourself that all that fame is temporary and does not always bring that luck hoped for.

Ejaife brings questions to consider. We should think about what we want to do in our life and with our life. We should ask ourself why we are so often afraid to tackle certain issues.

Why do we often put our dreams on hold?

How can we go about turning our dreams into our realities?

What differences do you see between dreams and reality?

For further thought:

“Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living.” ~ Anais Nin

Disscusion Questions

It would be nice if “Everyone has at least one person available always to hear their problems, troubles, mistakes, secrets and even opinions. ” but we are afraid we can find lots of people who are feeling lonely and who do not find somebody around them to whom they can tell the ‘closest’ things to. Even many people who have lots of Facebookfriends today can not feel happiness because they do not really feel they can have a very close connection with somebody else. At the time when social Media is such a hype and everybody seems to be constantly busy with updating their social status, we see that a lot of it is a flush of air.

Having all the magical tools which can spread photo’s in a few seconds make it even worse in this world, because many people have found a weapon in it to tease and even worse bully others with their messages and photo’s been placed on the internet.

All tat social media action makes that lots of people have lost their trust in certain people around them.

But each of us can make a difference. Even when liking to use Facebook and other social gadgets we should be conscious not to misuse the modern tools to gossip, but using it more to show our good will to help others and to be ready for them.
We should do proof to others that they can rely on us, because we are trustworthy and standing ready to be helpful for those in need. People are right to fear the ‘Gossiping‘ which has increased so much, and we should give a clear sign to others who try to do such a thing, that we are not served by that and that we do not want to hear.

When we do hear somebody judging somebody else we should give a clear signal that it is not up to man to judge the other, and that before something is insinuated the person has to be very sure that what he or she wants to tell is founded on truth and not on gossip.

Notice:

Power and determination = most important qualities => make you a good leader

leaders need to be strong so that they can be obeyed and followed but they also need to be flexible and friendly with other people so that they can have good relations, can be trusted by the members led and finally can be loved and defended no matter what happens.

A good leader = determined + has power + is also weak + sympathetic

good lives are made so by discipline.

=> keep the laws + law makers

  • 4 Tips On Social Media Use (brosix.com)
    Social media today is just as inescapable as the television had become after the radio. Everyone everywhere has access to Facebook, Twitter, and the rest of the social networks that the Internet can offer. While social media use has brought a whole lot of good, it can also bring negativity, when used wrongly.

    It’s nice to express our thoughts, or to have an opinion, especially in causes that you feel strongly about. However, if your opinions have a tendency to be controversial or unpopular, and you don’t want to attract haters, it’s really best to keep them to yourself.

    for those interactions that will only sap your energy, it’s best to just ignore things.
  • Mark Hurd, Oracle’s CEO, Can Change the Internet Forever: Here Is How (seo-theory.com)
    The Internet doesn’t yet run on Oracle but it could, and I am strongly tempted to suggest that maybe it should. Not because Oracle software is the best solution available but because Oracle is large enough to weather all sorts of economic storms. The worst possible thing that can happen to the Internet has happened many times already: people develop software that is widely distributed and then suddenly they vanish, or they move on, and everyone who adopted the freeware is left vulnerable and exposed to the inevitable exploits that come along. I remember when I switched to Qmail because it could not be exploited by email spammers.
  • What I learned from my friendships (fourfeetnine.com)
    I did love attention when I was younger, whether from girls or boys and I’d do funny or cute things or talk a lot or tell jokes to get it. Ironically, that craving faded the older I am.  Nobody likes being ignored but I’m content to be on the sidelines or not be in the middle telling jokes.

    But I still always remember what she said.  And to that extent I consciously remind myself not to be too self-absorbed when I talk to friends (because I can be exactly that) and tell myself don’t talk so much about myself WTF and listen to them more.

    Nice social media posts engage and build your audience, while spammy posts make you look stupid, ignorant, or just plan lazy. Spammy posts might also get you banned from social networks.

    Social media is a community. If you want something from someone, it’s best to start by giving them something. So, when you Follow someone on Twitter, RTing one of their posts increases the chances they’ll follow you back. Mentioning (or linking to) the great content produced by others makes them more likely to share your content.

    15 Ways to Be Nice in Social Media Posts
  • Letters to the Editor, October 3, 2014 (scmp.com)
    What I observed at the protest and through social media is a social contagion where one person shouts, “I hate the cops!” and many others follow.

    If you disagree with your government, non-violent organised protests and simply not participating in the system you disagree with (such as not going to work or school) are possibly effective actions to take.

    But hurling insults at individual police officers for hours on end and demonising them through generalised propaganda in news and social media will not help your situation or Hong Kong as a whole.

How could someone chose the person he trusts?

People can’t be lonely in this life, they always need someone to listen to them, understand them and help them. For example, if you have a problem that is personal but you are struggling to solve it, you will need someone to help you because if you stay hiding that problem you are going to hate life and feel bad about yourself and other people around you. That is why we form trust. We trust people who have time to listen and care about us. Often these people are close to us like a family member, a close friend, a teacher, etc. Everyone has at least one person available always to hear their problems, troubles, mistakes, secrets and even opinions. How to choose the person you trust is very important. You cannot just start telling a stranger all your secrets and personal information because…

God, my father, my closest friend

We may have earthly parents, but we can not do with the heavenly Father. We can not see Him (or we would die) and nobody has seen Him. Only His only begotten son Jesus can now sit next to Him. It is in that name of the son (Jeshua from Nazareth) that we can pray and ask things for ourselves and for others.

In the heavenly Father we can trust. He shall always be able to do much more than any earthly father. The Creator God His son Jesus has opened the doors and restored the relationship with the Divine Creator. We may be happy to have that Jewish man Jesus to be mediator now for us. Now we can face again, day after day, the Most High Creator and speak directly to Him as “Our Father“.

That we may use it regularly and take that galactic leap forward in our faith as well.

  • Jesus Prays for Unity – John 17 (disciplesforlife.wordpress.com)
    Jesus has mediated the glory of God, personally to his first followers and through them to those who believe on account of their message.
    +
    we ought to understand the call for holiness the same way we see Jesus petitioning the Father for perfect unity – eschatologically.  We need to see these things as a comfort that since Jesus has prayed for it, therefore it will happen. So there is still an element of “not yet” here.
  • In Jesus’ Name, Amen (isaiah532.wordpress.com)
    If you are like me, you make sure you add the words, “in Jesus’ name, amen” at the end of every prayer.  We know we are supposed to pray that way.  That is how we have been taught.  But I think somehow we have held some secret, perhaps not even fully thought out, idea that as long as we say our prayer is in Jesus’ name, then God will hear us and answer.  Like just saying the name of Jesus is a magic key to opening the doors of Heaven.
    +
    if we keep praying in Jesus’ name, amen, and Jesus said that whatever we pray in His name He will do, why are so many of our prayers not answered the way we want them to be?  Is Jesus’ name not the magic word after all?  Or is there something more to it?
    +
    Just as Jesus, as the Son of God, was the ambassador, so to speak, of God the Father, here on earth, we are ambassadors for Jesus (2 Cor. 5:20).  Jesus came in the name of the Father (John 5:43; 10:25).  What Jesus spoke to us, we know to be the words, and will of the Father.  John 5:19 – Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”
    +
    So why is it that so often we find ourselves unsure of what Jesus’ will is?  The very simple answer is that we have not taken the time to build our relationship with Him.  How can we know what Jesus’ will is, if we don’t know who He is or anything about Him?  How can our prayers be in sync with what He desires, if we don’t know what He likes and dislikes?  There is more to knowing Jesus than believing that He is the Son of God and good.
  • Broken and Beautiful (jamespaulgaard.wordpress.com)
    I am inviting you to think with me about how we hide our brokenness, how our brokenness can be a good thing and how the beautiful Jesus became broken to make our brokenness beautiful.
    +
    We hide our brokenness because we do not want to get hurt. We also hide our brokenness because we think that our brokenness is ugly. If we could wave a magic wand and change one thing about ourselves, our chief area of brokenness is likely the thing that we would most want to change. And we hide our brokenness because we think that our brokenness is like a ball and chain that holds us back from living a beautiful life.
    +
    Because you are His bride, Jesus gives you wonderful gifts that make your beauty so radiant that it becomes apparent for others to see.  Jesus heals your wounds with the healing salve of His unconditional love for you. Jesus crowns your head with the renewal of your mind. Jesus adorns your face with the joy of your salvation. Jesus dresses you in radiant garments of forgiveness, purity and righteousness. Your scars remain, but they make you even more attractive than you would otherwise be. With Jesus, you are both broken and beautiful. Amen.
  • Meandering Intensely Through Grace (brokenbelievers.com)
    The heavenly Father’s exclusive purpose is to “bring many sons to glory.” We do not have to wait until heaven to become like Jesus. We can accelerate the joy by starting today. As soon as we work out the details, He will commence with His work within. And when He comes, He will ‘clean house,’ (so to speak). But that can’t be all bad.
  • I Shall Not Be Greatly Shaken (fallanddie.com)
    He’s telling us that a true disciple of Jesus pours out his life into that which is most dear to him. That in importance, nothing  competes with God; nothing rises to the level of importance in our heart and mind near that of God. As compared to one’s relationship with Jesus, our earthly relationships are to be so far removed in importance from the Divine relationship that difficulties shall not greatly shake us in our devotion and obedience to the Lord.
  • Morning Prayer 6.1.14, Seventh Sunday of Easter (dailyoffice.org)
    O God, you make us glad with the weekly remembrance of the glorious resurrection of your Son our Lord: Give us this day such blessing through our worship of you, that the week to come may be spent in your favor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
  • Morning Prayer 5.31.14, The Visitation of Mary (dailyoffice.org)
    Christ was faithful over God’s house as a son, and we are his house if we hold firm the confidence and the pride that belong to hope.
  • Morning Prayer 6.2.14, Blandina & Her Companions, the Martyrs of Lyons, 177 (dailyoffice.org)
    Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us; *
    therefore let us keep the feast,
    Not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, *
    but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Alleluia.

Depression Is and When

Depression 1

depression is loving someone with nothing in return,
depression is slowly living instead of jumping head first,
depression is acknowledging the mistake but without learning,
depression is not trying, giving into your life’s curse.

depression is cutting and cutting thinking you cant stop,
depression is staying quiet thinking no-one will care,
depression is floating around with the desire to drop,
depression is ignoring the people who always seem to be there.

depression is trying to end the life you’ve been given,
depression is watching other people watch you,
depression is giving up instead of being hard driven,
depression is depression, do you feel it too?

Depression 2

depression
a state of agitated depression
now facing the depression
like a closed session
needing medical attention
making my agitated confession
depression my obsession
depression my only material possession
years of oppression before the recession
see the expression of my depression
depression leaving a facial impression
at it’s own discretion
like a rapper at a rap session
and a singer in a jam session
or a poet at the blog talk radio session
you can’t forget the internal impression
the repossession of my depression
it’s a new life i’m now facing without question

Depression 3

depression is the looks that lie
depression is the tears i cry..

depression is the mistakes
that one person makes..

depression is the sad song
where no one sings along

depression is where i have no friends
depression is the cut that mends..

depression…
just a feeling that gets everyone sad
and maybe to the point where you go mad

but depression is sad but true..
because it is my life without you…

Depression Is

depression is my life without you,
depression is the darkness taking over the light,
depression is the thoughts of suicide
depression is isolation from the outside world
depression is where no one loves me
depression is where i have no friends
depression is where everyone looks at me and rolls there eyes
depression is…….

Depression Is When

depression is when you hate everyone around
depression is when you don’t want to make a sound
depression is when all you want to do is cry
depression is when you feel like you’re dying inside
depression is when your thoughts wonder all the time
depression is when you can’t sleep even though you’re tired
depression is when you don’t want to go on
depression is when you can’t stop shaking outside
depression is when you hide who you are
depression is when you put on a mask to hide what you feel
depression is when you feel weak all the time
depression is when you give in to everything around
depression is when you don’t care what happens anymore

depression is just another day in my life

Depression Makes Me

depression makes me feel pain
depression makes me stupid
depression makes me feel low
depression makes me mad
depression makes me sad
depression makes me forget the world
depression makes me tensed
depression makes me lose self control
depression makes me hate everyone
depression makes me think over and over
depression makes me feel lonely
depression makes me think wild
depression makes me worthless
depression makes me sick
what does depression give me?
when it runs high…
it will make me die – rest in peace…

  • 10 Things I Wish People Knew About Depression (worldobserveronline.com)
    Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain—a deficiency of either serotonin, dopamine, adrenalin or noradrenalin. Just because it’s an invisible illness, doesn’t mean it’s not real.
    +
    It can make you feel exhausted. It can make you hate yourself. It can make you self-harm. And worst of all, it can make you feel suicidal and drive you to carry out those thoughts. Depression is a word many people throw around carelessly (“I have to go to work on Monday, that is so depressing”), but when used in its clinical sense, it describes a debilitating, gut-wrenching illness.
  • Different types of depression (tersiaburger.com)
    Clinical depression goes by many names — depression, “the blues,” biological depression, major depression. But it all refers to the same thing: feeling sad and depressed for weeks or months on end (not just a passing blue mood).
  • Depression lies. (zerofoxgiven.wordpress.com)
    Depression is awful. It whispers in your ear. It rattles in your head. It steals your joy. It disrupts your sleep. It brings storm clouds to bright sun-shiny days. And it fucking lies. Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad (hurtful) lies.
    +
    I wrote this as a “sort of” end when I started down this country path: And if you’re suffering from depression, please know that you’re not alone. I know how difficult it is to look for help, I’m there right now. (I hate asking for help. I hate talking about myself in any way.) Talk to someone. (For a great list of people who would love to help you, go here: Getting Help.) Take care of, and be gentle with, yourself. You’re only human, this is a terrible illness and the people who tell you that you have nothing to be “sad” about and should “buck up” are assholes (some of them mean well, they just don’t understand).
  • Dealing with depression (confusedinfj.com)
    What we need more of is understanding, compassion, and just being there for our dear loved ones who suffer. Depression is just as debilitating as anything I can think of.
  • Depression is Often Called the Common Cold of Mental Health (modvive.com)
    To the nonprofessional “mood disorder” sounds like a passing phase, however, depression goes beyond just a passing phase and right into a life-altering disorder. If left untreated depression becomes chronic, meaning it sticks around for a long time. Some studies predict that by 2020 depressive disorders will be a leading cause of disease burden second only to heart disease.

    Heart disease, an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, obesity, and substance abuse are just some of the health risks associated with depression. Untreated depression can lead to the most dangerous health issue, suicide. It is estimated that two-thirds of all suicides are linked to depression. This risk increases when substance abuse is part of the mix.

    Whether you have the blues, the blahs, or something much darker, take that first step to get help. Go to your doctor. Find a counselor, your doctor or clergy can help with this. If you have a friend or family member suffering from depression do not close the door, reach out and help them. Go with them to the doctor; maybe even go with them to the counselor’s office.
  • Somewhere Someone Loves Us: Depression Stories, Vol. 1 (powderroom.jezebel.com)Depression is like being in that well in The Silence of the Lambs. That light’s being pulled up and I just see the evidence of all the attempts to crawl out before, and in my head, it’s evidence that the cloud won’t lift. The weight on my chest is never going to let up; the pressure I can feel on my brain is winning.Of course, I know on an academic level that that’s just not true. Things will get better, and I’ll be happy again. In fact, I’m probably happy more often than I’m not. But even when I’m thinking clearly, I fear my depression, because it’s just so oppressive.
  • Is Depression Just A “Rich Person” Problem? (thoughtcatalog.com)
    the National Alliance on Mental Illnesses says that 64% of young adults who are not attending or no longer attending college are doing so due to mental illnesses, and that 40% of students with diagnosable mental health conditions did not seek assistance because of the concern of stigma.

    I am not depressed because I get too fixated on a concept and can’t see the other sides to any given situation (although I do have this problem as well). I am depressed because I medically lack the normal amount of serotonin that people need to be functional. No amount of therapy is going to make me better because all I really need is my daily 60 mg of Prozac.  I am disgusted when I have to spend time with people who lecture me on how depression is a fake disease.

    Maybe one day people can be successful and public about their depression. But until we decide to actively alter our prejudiced and exaggerated attitudes about depression, that day will never come.Never forget what the impact of your words are on the people around you. We’re everywhere.
  • Controlling Your Black Dog (canislupuspc.wordpress.com)
    I did this through a mixture of the following things. They worked for me but may not work for you.

    1. Education and awareness
    2. Music
    3. Identifying the cause and doing something about it
    4. Exercise.

    I will briefly explain each of the four stages and how it has helped and is still helping me to control my black dog in hope that somebody might benefit from it and begin to gain some control over their own black dog.

  • Open Letter Re: This Morning Feature on Depression (madinamerica.com)
    Regarding Nicola, you again pushed the use of long-term drugs, saying it ‘gets you back to normal.’ Drugs cannot make you ‘normal’, as their very mode of action is to impair true normal brain functioning.  You are making yet another recommendation for drugs to correct an imbalance that has never been consistently found and shown to cause depression. Quite the opposite in fact: Research has shown that psychiatric drugs do indeed create ‘perturbations in neurotransmitter functioning’ thereby affecting normal homeostatic mechanisms that exist in the brain, which in the long term can cause permanent neural dysfunction (Hyman 1996). As a result, we feel Nicola would clearly have benefitted more from intensive talking therapy to explore her underlying fears and anxiety, and certainly from the support of caring friends and family rather than resort to long term ADs.The notion of a ‘chemical imbalance’ is now a fairly outdated view, and it is irresponsible and unethical to continue to indicate to the public they suffer from an imbalance where non has ever been consistently found and replicated within the peer reviewed professional journals.
  • Confessions of a depressed comic (thesecretkeeper.net)
    Television, the news, media, fictional films and stories, distort how people are who suffer from depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, agoraphobia, panic disorders, the list is so long the DSM-5 has over 300 diagnoses. Before anyone judges anyone, be sure you are not amongst those who have their own mental condition in which to deal.
