Recrafting our World

According to psychologist Peter Kramer, resilience is the ability to cope with life’s frustrations without falling apart. And reslilience, not happiness, is the opposite of depression.

  • essence of a good life =  how well we pay attention, compassionately accept our situation, take action toward meaningful goals, learn from our choices, and move on, with as much trust + love as we can.
  • time at home = opportunity to reflect on life >  how to live closer to your credo => opportunity to re-evaluate + change way we live, work, produce, + distribute goods + services.
  • shift away from mindless consumerism => begin living for higher purposes, mindful of our impact on other people & planet.
  • Clarifying + aligning with our priorities.

key = how we respond to new challenge.

  • slowing down & reflecting
  • waking up to a new reality.
  • isolation =/= loneliness.

Essence of a good life: how well we pay attention, compassionately accept our situation, take action toward meaningful goals, learn from our choices, and move on, with as much trust as we can. And remembering that what matters most is love. {Happy or Resilient?}

Recrafting our World

dreams, rebirth

It’s impossible to avoid the news and impact of coronavirus.

I’ve progressed from denial to concern, to acceptance and opening to new ideas. I’ve been sick for the last few days wondering if I have the virus, flu, a cold, allergies, or am simply run down. I’m considering whether to go to a doctor and be tested for the coronavirus. The virus is forcing us to slow down and live differently, at least for a while, Maybe asking us to consider how we can become healthier, more resilient, and more helpful in a connected world. Here’s a related post I wrote about resiliency a few years ago called Happy or Resilient?  From that post; the essence of a good life is how well we pay attention, compassionately accept our situation, take action toward meaningful goals, learn from our choices, and move on, with as much…

Christian Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic

Sometimes people have to be confronted by something terribly bad. At regular intervals, certain people come to struggle terribly and have to learn by a hard lesson, being pulled down by an accident or serious disease.

Several people at a certain moment in their life got struck. Suddenly they become confronted by a longer period that they can not do the things they normally do. During that time of not doing anything, they are given time to think about the past but also the future. Then they can take time to meditate and to really start to reevaluate the value of things.

Before they got sick or bounded to the bed by their sickness or paralysation, they can have the film of their life repeated over and over again for days. At that time they have hours and days to think about all those things that kept them busy. Then they also realize that they had and still have so many dreams that they’ve had over the years and projects that they wanted to do.

From people who previously had serious accidents and diseases, we do know several people came in confrontation with the matter of a godhead, and started examining the Scriptures, coming to one conclusion, that there is Only One True Divine God, the Elohim Hashem Jehovah, Who is a loving God and not a cruel Being that would have His children being tortured or being burned forever.
It is then for them the time to recognise how so many churches or denomination lied to their flock and used fear to master them.

The devil, being spoken of in the Bible, is any or every adversary who walks on this planet. For sure there are many adversaries of God too, who would love people not to believe in the Divine Creator or have them keeping to the many false teachings, human traditions and heathen festivals.

But it are the real lovers of God who in such difficult times should show how they know for sure Who is behind everything and Who can be the helping hand in times of problems but also be a Guide in times when everything seems alright.

These days when there is a virus making many victims, those real followers of the son of God, should show the world how God has given the world a saviour and mediator, who paid the ransom for all the faults we as human beings have done.

Now is the time that all real lovers of God can show the world Who That real God is and how we as united lovers of God are not afraid of what comes upon this world but are willing to unite in prayer to protect all those around us, believers and unbelievers.

IMG-20161127-WA0018In the article of Janisha Jacobs, affectionately known as “Keela“,, the greatest hope is expressed that during this crisis more people will be drawn closer to Christ, the son of God. We only can hope and pray that more people shall come to see that in this time of fear there will be no other choice but for our faith to increase and to join hands spiritually. That in this time of not knowing what tomorrow holds we will learn to let God worry about tomorrow and focus on getting through today, with the knowledge that there shall come even worse days and even a more severe battle, with the third World War or Armageddon. Therefore we can look at this pandemic as a rehearsal for what still has to come and to make us stronger to be prepared for what is still to come.
Let us, therefore, pray not to false gods, like some many have taken themselves false gods, but learn also others to pray to the God Jesus also prayed too, namely his heavenly Father (and not himself) the One and Only True God, the Elohim Hashem Jehovah.

To remember

  • facing global Pandemic of Covid-19 virus #CoronaVirus.
  • enough news surrounding panic > All across the world right now persons are facing panic, trauma & a lot of uncertainty because of the effects of Covid-19.
  • Persons afraid, lost loved ones, +  wondering if they will be next.
  • China, Italy, America, UK, etc. > unimaginable crisis.
  • biggest question right now =  “when will it end?”
  • for the church = also the question of “how do we react?”
  • to get us to close down churches > building =/= church
  • people = church
  • via Zoom = enjoyable + more intimate than “pulpit and pew”
  • try + prevent spreading virus => stay home
  • response/reaction to world crisis & pandemic = faith, wisdom, compassion, forward thinking, leadership + most importantly prayer.

Keela's Chronicles

As most of you know, we have all been facing the global Pandemic of the Covid-19 virus #CoronaVirus. Initially I had no intentions of blogging about it, figuring that there is enough news surrounding the panic and I didn’t want to be one more person adding fuel on an already blazing fire. But, if you read my latest post you know by now that I decided to change my mind

All across the world right now persons are facing panic, trauma and a lot of uncertainty because of the effects of Covid-19. Persons are afraid, many have lost loved ones, some may not even know if their loved ones are still alive in places like Italy, some persons are sick and many others are wondering if they will be next. And all of these emotions and feelings are completely understandable but so very heartbreaking.

Fibromyalgia & ME/CFS Awareness Day

The day after Italy‘s Parliament on Wednesday May 11 overwhelming gave final approval to a law recognizing civil unions between same-sex partners, the world had again a day to think of a lot of things.

The day that Brazil’s Senate has voted to suspend President Dilma Rousseff immediately and begin impeachment proceedings against her on accusations of tampering with accounts to hide a budget shortfall, the world also thought of many people who need lots of funds to pay for their health. Many of them living in a healthy country not being themselves in a healthy state.

Ten years after the mass unrest by the Primeiro Comando da Capital began in São Paulo (Brazil), leaving at least 150 dead, on May 12 the world also remembered the 7.3-magnitude earthquake and six major aftershocks hit Nepal, killing over 200 people, but leaving many also handicapped.

It is for disabled people certain days are also created to bring their situation in attention. On the Day of the Finnish Identity (Finland) we also have an International Nurses Day and the International Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Awareness Day.

For a long time the medical world did not want to take the condition serious by which people where bullied with concentration problems and need of sleep, feeling tired all the time.

Also the way how media looked at CFS or Chronic fatigue syndrome has often been controversial; in November 1990 the magazine Newsweek ran a cover story on CFS which although supportive of an organic cause of the illness also featured the term Yuppie Flu. Reflecting a stereotype that CFS mainly affected yuppies, the implication was that CFS was a form of burnout.

Luckily today the world recognises Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) as a condition that causes extreme tiredness. Though known it needs to bring it under the loop and bring more awareness under the entices, there has been a created a special day for them. This in the hope that more people can come to understand how the victims of that disease have debilitating fatigue that lasts for six months or longer. At the moment the medical world does not yet have a known cause, which makes that still a lot of research has to be done.

Many doctors and researchers think that CFS may not be a single illness but a group of symptoms caused by several conditions. One theory is that a microorganism, such as a virus, or a chemical injures the body and damages the immune system, allowing dormant viruses to become active. When these viruses start growing again, the immune system may overreact and produce chemicals called cytokines that can cause flu-like symptoms. Immune abnormalities have been found in studies. {Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine | 2005 | Rowland, Belinda; Odle, Teresa}

We do have to take into account that having CFS is not just a matter of being tired. Those people with CFS having severe fatigue that keeps them from performing their normal daily activities should also know that this should not mean they are passed out by the community or would not be able to do something waluable.

Their big problem is to find work, attend school, or even to take part in social activities and to be respected for what is holding them back to give the 100%. And if they love to exercise or try to be active in spite of their fatigue, people with CFS experience what some patients call “payback”— debilitating exhaustion that can confine them to bed for days.

Often such people do not know where to find solace and are confronted with people who do not understand their situations and often consider them as lazy or as profiteers. though when we look at the present figures it is clear that there are so many people caught by that trigger who wants to pull them down, that we also have to question if not somebody in our near environment is having it as well and if it also not have to do with what we have been added in the things we eat (all those chemical additives).

The Bendy Beauty girl started blogging on July 2015 it seems with mostly looking at Glossyboxes. But using these skin creams and treatments perhaps she also came to wonder what is in it all those products we so gladly put on our body hoping to look better, but are they making us also better? Often not. In lots of the additives bad products do a lot of damage to our body. Paraben, widely used preservatives in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products and collagen, which has many medical uses in treating complications of the bones and skin, or not so innocent as many think.

In man’s hope to stay young or to look younger than the real age many brands have jumped on the collagen bandwagon to produce gels, creams and powders but also dermal fillers, to rejuvenate skin and fill wrinkles.

May the 1st being the start of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome awareness month the beauty girl wanted doing posts about EDS, covering the different types of EDS, where the zebra comes from, fibromyalgia awareness day, the HMSA and their work with all of the hypermobility causing syndromes.

For those of you that aren’t aware, the zebra is the mascot animal of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and as a result many of us with EDS collect zebra themed items. We might collect them because we love zebras or because people buy them for us on a regular basis – some EDSers have even been known to get fed up of the whole zebra thing! {Paperchase Serengeti Range – Zebras!}

In one article she also gives 8 self-care tips for getting through a flare up.

fibro1smToday my zebra has gone purple as it is the awareness day for fibromyalgia as well as for ME/CFS.
I don’t often talk about the fact that I have a fibromyalgia (or fibro for short) diagnosis as well as my Ehlers-Danlos syndrome but it is actually quite common for people with Hypermobile EDS to get fibro secondary to their EDS.

Secondary fibromyalgia is slightly different from the more well known about primary fibromyalgia. The more common primary fibro has no identifiable cause, whereas secondary fibro does – in my case my EDS. This means I can sometimes foresee a flare as a result of a dislocation or series of dislocations.

What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibro is a chronic and sometimes disabling condition characterised mainly by persistent musculo-skeletal pain with no identifiable cause. Other common symptoms among sufferers include extreme fatigue, brain fog which is sometimes called ‘fibro fog’, muscle spasms and cramps…

Again nominated for the same award

Leonardo DiCaprio in 2007.

DiCaprio at the red carpet at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

Good things they say exist out of three. I do not know how many times a person should be nominated before really winning the prize. Some very good actors for example were nominated several times for the Oscar Academy Awards but did not get the Oscar Award for that film. This year it is no different with Leonardo DiCaprio, though he after five times makes a very good chance.

Though today I’m not here to talk about important prizes, but I think it is about just a little nice pat on my back. Being a very sensible emotional boy this also may touch me. But it took some five and three years before I really got to act on it, when it was once more presented to me.

Liebster AwardIt has been some years ago when I first got the Liebster Blogging Award presented to me by a Zoe for my own personal blog. Some years later it was again presented to me by a blogger on WordPress. The same for an other award, being presented to me, I did not react at the time of offering. Except when I got several ‘awards’ presented in 2014 I thought several bloggers had found an interesting way to get new bloggers to come to know their site. I considered it some form of “chain letters“. On the subject, being bombarded at that time with several “awards” I wrote Awards, prizes, Peace and Working together.

In the knowledge that the online world has massive amounts of material that can make finding your pertinent information overwhelming I also struggled with the security system of the net and with what sources I could trust.

For me at the time when I was bombarded with lots of awards I looked at them as being similar to chain letters which were very popular when the internet seemed a very easy medium to generate free advertisements and/or spam letters and messages.

Jolien Davies, a Blogger & Research Consultant, with her In the know with Jo tells us a little bit more about “The Sunshine Award” and the “Liebster Award” which at one time may have been the same award. Though both, at time where presented to me by different bloggers. She writes about this sort of award that they had not the bad effect like chain letters them having

no threat of ‘bad luck for 200 years,’ or ‘swarms of flies that will descend upon you.’ Another term used for these ‘awards’ is that it is a ‘meme.’ This basically means that it is an idea, behavior, style etc… that spreads like a virus. So, in other words, it is a viral game of sorts. {In the know with Jo Sunshine award breakdown}

sunshine-blogger-award-200Being viral or not, by the beginning of 2016 I once again got the “Sunshine Blogger Award” presented to me by somebody who I consider sincere. He also got to know our ways of thinking and why we do find it important to have our say on the net. He namely was one of the most active reactors to our writings. Probably you may have found his reactions on some articles, under the name Black Horn. He and Not in my world have an “Our Circle” were they try to bring together like-minded people. “Not In My World!!!!is as such the product of a Circle of Friends on Google, who believe Pricele$$ is the only value we can place upon Love, Honour, and Duty to Our Children, and to every Child in this world.

Having similar goals we our pleased that he and his team presented us this award. To shed some light on the reason why from now on mentioning that award on my sites, I wrote 2010-2015 words delivering a Sunshine Award. After having been presented the awards more than once I thought it being time to mention it also to outsiders; i.e. our visitors and readers.

I must be honest. I feel honoured that people think of me and my writings and find them worth to be awarded by a special mention. I do not know such mentions on a website would attract more people to come to read more on it. First of all they have to find the site. Because there is no such general site mentioning all those who received the award there is also no general site bringing readers to those who are awarded the nomination and/or Prize, which is just the mentioning and not connected to any other reward.

Though I do agree, when I see a mention of a certain award on a site I expect certain values and subjects to be spoken off in a certain way. This also would trigger me to have a further look at other articles or not.

I sincerely do hope visitors finding our site and from now onwards also seeing the mention of those awards, will find human interest articles which show the positiveness we want to bring and show the sun-rays which we want to uncover. Not everything is sunshine in the world, so we do have to show the bad things as well. But when showing those bad or evil things we also want to show the other way. We are convinced there is an other way of life than most people are living. That way we want to show to as many as we can. You too can help with it, by making us known by others. You also can give us a pat on our back by clicking on the “Like it” button. when you do like us and have a special place to mention the ‘liked articles’ than you too can bring others to our articles, because we notice that we have readers clicking on the articles we liked, so they go to read those liked articles.

In 2016 we also shall continue to bring further other websites in the picture, though it may be less than before. This because too often we had to justify our mentioning them. It takes already lots of our time to find appropriate related articles, worth mentioning, to one of our writings.

We do hope by our selection of writings from the internet you may be pleased and be guided to think about those subjects. The readers digest we want to offer should give you an idea of why we think a certain way and why we do find it important that we join hands to react in this world. We still look for writers who would not mind joining us to strive for the good cause,to show the world we do have to come to a better relationship between other human beings but also to the plants and animals.

We are all part of the bigger picture and should be aware that we have to take much more care of our environment. Together we want to convince others also to be aware of our obligations and our responsibilities. Showing others the guide to a better life and environment is part of us bringing sunshine in other man’s life.

In case we have to nominate some blogs Pintowski’s Blog Envisioning A Better World, plus Cherispeak and Purplerays would be of them with some others we quoted here on this site already and those who try to bring some thoughts to meditate on.
