Words of Wisdom for the Day – Toil of slavery – Freedom not a gift

1 800th post on From Guestwriters

Modern Romanticism

“Freedom is not a gift. It was never a gift. Those who name life as freedom, forget that life is full of purpose. Death is the freedom. Death is earned. For just as one quits their day’s toil, rests in a bed, so is freedom the earning. Freedom is fought for, and earned, and the world’s oppressors show their twisted kindness, in allowing death to be granted towards their victims. Is freedom, or even death, to die for freedom, not a motivation to continue the toil? The toil of life. The toil of slavery.”
