A harsh life and guarantees

Many of us are not so happy with their life. Many find life difficult and a source of problems. It can be harsh and sometimes people do not see the light at the end of the tunnel. The only guarantee all have is that it will end.

This website like some other website on the 20 year old WWW is created to let you know, you always have a choice.

  • A choice to acknowledge and embrace your positives and your limitations.
  • A choice to keep on walking, step by step if necessary.
  • A choice to reach out, to connect, to offer and to accept help.
  • A choice to be YOU: a Beautiful Soul and thrive.

It is no surprise that life can be harsh and throw you in a situation you feel like the world is swallowing you and you’ve lost all control.

Feeling (a bit) better about yourself can be easy, if you’re looking for a quick boost. Playing or singing your favorite song, exercise for an hour, joining a yoga-class, eating a healthy meal or a big bowl full of ice-cream, drinking a glass of wine, reading a book, write a poem, walk with the dogs, swim in an ocean…so many different ways to lift your spirit. {Boost Your Soul}

Acknowledgement is more important than you might think. As human beings, we are by nature a creature who prefers to belong to others. At the same time, we are also each unique individuals and living in harmony is unfortunately no longer a given.
It even seems the frustration, anger and violence continues to increase worldwide. Understandably, people are tempted to withdraw from society and seek solitude: no longer trust human beings are wonderful creatures and question, if there are still Beautiful Souls among us.

We would love to see similar feeling people, people who find it necessary to give each other the hand to unite as brethren and sisters, as creatures of One Bigger Element.

Social media has become a large part of modern society. Instead of connecting many people in real life, we can see that it created more a virtual world where many can escape the reality of the real world. Many are glued on the little screen of their smartphone and do not often look up to see what is happening around them in the real world.

A ‘Mimosa pudica‘ who when she was a child was called ‘Kruidje-roer-me-niet’ (Mimosa Pudica) a lot because of her intensity when she believed something unjust or dishonest had happened in the world around her, wrote

Allowing ourselves to be too active on various social media platforms, to a point we can’t even have diner without checking every notification we receive, is of course not healthy.  Whether we use social media work related or as a hobby, there is a time and a place for everything.

Just like it is not healthy to work twenty-four-seven, sit or stand behind our laptops for over two hours straight, binch-eating while surfing, or forget about eating, sleeping and other necessary pursuits in life… it is not healthy to be online all the time.

Predators are everywhere in our society, unfortunately they do exist in our virtual Dreampack too. Just like we don’t share passwords with just anyone, have locks on our  valuable assets… we should use the security and privacy options each social platform provides. {Social media part of modern society. Embrace it !}

We have come into a world where the bullying does not any more takes place at the place of confrontation, but also on the social media. Today blackmail, treason and deception are not uncommon, however, shamefully, it is not exclusive to the virtual world.

Just like we choose who we invite in our daily life, use our gut feelings who to trust and who we like… We don’t have to click with everyone. At the same time, let us not forget that behind every account one of our neighbors is connected to it. {Social media part of modern society. Embrace it !}

Naturally not everything about social media has to be bad. Social media may give a true picture as well as a total false picture of the other but it can also be a way to learn from each other’s differences,

a platform through which beautiful collaborations can be created. It can be a wonderful way to make real connections, even friendships for life. {Social media part of modern society. Embrace it !}

we have the choice between focusing on the negativity around us or acknowledge the positive at our big Dreampack. We have a choice to acknowledge the negatives and seek understanding, to become better. Which will lead to a more peaceful Dreampack. For all of us.

In addition, we also have the choice to gather Beautiful Souls, who share the same hope, beliefs, values, etc., posses the willingness to live in peace and include them in our Dreampack(s). We have the choice to be open to different perspectives, opinions, cultures and belief-systems. {Beautiful Souls}

“From Guestwriters” is here for you, willing to connect you with others, with similar or with positive ideas. We want to inspire people and we want to offer positive thoughts for this life.

We can learn so much from each others’ stories and perspectives. {When Souls Connect}

Hence, the reason we too want to share inspiring, thought-provoking and motivational stories, perspectives, thoughts, quotes, etc. from ourselves and from our neighbours or like-minded people and from artists who want to give or return something beautiful to the world.

We do know that

You can read all the positive quotes in the world, eat ice-cream all day, numb yourself with alcohol, retreat to an uninhabited island… Most people will stay unhappy, because all those quick boosters are just that. Not long-lasting, no realistic ways to feel joy and satisfaction as much as possible. People can tell you, you’re a Beautiful Soul all the time, but it isn’t just a random quote: you really have to believe that yourself, choose to be and the feeling you are will follow. {Boost Your Soul}

We sincerely do hope we can inspire you to look into yourself and to come to love yourself. but we also want to give you some warning where to stand in this world to stay alive. At the same time we do hope we can offer you some inspiring texts which shall be able to pull you through another day.

We all deserve to feel, to be happy.

An arm around the shoulder

When ill or not feeling well we can do with an arm around the shoulder.

Several times in our life we are confronted with moments that others try to pull us down or want us to react in a bad way, so that we make ourselves to shame or go against the commandments or will of god. When we give in and react angry they succeed and win their war with us always loosing.

Sister Marilyn Hurst reminds us

Jackie Robinson was the first black man to play major league baseball in the modern era, in 1947. Breaking baseball’s color barrier, he faced disgusting racial slurs from opposing players, baseballs thrown at his head while he was batting, and baserunners sliding with spiked shoes lifted high, trying to cut or slash him. Also, he faced jeering crowds in every stadium. While playing one day in his home stadium in Brooklyn, he committed an error. Some in the crowd began to ridicule him. He stood at second base, disconcerted and humiliated, while even his hometown fans continued to ridicule and mock him.

Then shortstop Pee Wee Reese came over and stood next to him. He put his arm around Robinson, talked quietly to him, and encouraged him, as if the crowd’s cries meant nothing. He was a white Southerner, with his own experiences of racial prejudice, and might have been expected to keep a safe distance from a black man. But it was as if he were saying to everyone:

‘This is my teammate; he’s with me!’ Reese was a star player at this time: popular and successful and well-liked. The fans grew quiet, and the game resumed.

Jackie Robinson later said that that arm around his shoulder saved his career.

A statue will soon be erected and dedicated at the current Brooklyn baseball park, commemorating this simple yet profound act, performed more than 50 years ago now — joining and identifying with another so as to share his suffering.

Daily Bible Reading Exhortations

May 25

Reading 1 – Jos 11:5,6

“All these kings joined forces and made camp together at the Waters of Merom, to fight against Israel. The LORD said to Joshua, ‘Do not be afraid of them, because by this time tomorrow I will hand all of them over to Israel, slain’ ” (Jos 11:5,6).

“A day now near at hand will see the revelation of God‘s righteous anger, and then the further and final restoration of His house, when the glory will return embodied in the new rulers that God has promised to Israel. The ‘great fury’ of God is a necessity created by man’s sin — his pride, cruelty, and corruption of the earth. The classic illustration of what is coming is to be found in the clearing of the land of Palestine by Joshua and the settlement of a purified remnant of Israel in the place of the Canaanites, whose licentious and debased religions had forfeited their right to live. We know more of what the fury of man can do, in the terrible effects of modern war. We know its futility as we realize that there does not exist the power to bring order and peace when destruction has ceased. Apart from the overruling by which the sword of the wicked is made to do the work of God, it is not in man to dispense terrors according to deserts. The striving of the potsherds lacks the elemental basis of justice and righteousness which will never be absent from the fury of God” (John Carter, “Prophets after the Exile” 86).

Reading 2 – Isa 15:1

The word “oracle” or “burden” (Isa 13:1; 15:1; 17:1; 19:1; 21:1; 22:1; 23:1) is from the Hebrew “to lift up”, in foreboding or expectation; it implies something that God has planned for another. More often than not, it speaks of a coming punishment; but at times it simply means an important event involving a particular people. The distinction must be determined by the context. Often, the “burden” begins with warnings of judgments to come, and then proceeds with prophecies of something beneficial arising out of the dark times. Zec 12 illustrates this: it begins with a “burden… for Israel… in the siege”, but then quickly speaks of a time of blessing succeeding the time of affliction: Jerusalem inhabited again in her own place (Zec 12:6,7). The burdens of Isaiah generally follow this same pattern, with special reference to the Last Days of Gentile times and the establishment of “Israel in their own land” (Isa 14:1) and Christ as the “ruler of the land… upon the mount of the daughter of Zion” (Isa 16:1). Also the roles of various Gentile powers, especially in relation to Israel and God’s plans for the Last Days, are outlined. What might first appear to be a dry and unrewarding study becomes in reality a promise of God’s deliverance for His people (in typical prophecies) and a glorious assurance (in initial fulfillments) that God’s purpose stands firm (Isa 14:26,27).

Reading 3 – 2Ti 1:8

“Join with me in suffering” (2Ti 1:8).

Tact? Knowing when it is better to remain silent!

Words can be weapons.
When words are sent into the world without careful consideration and impulsively, they can have a devastating effect and hurt. Poisonous words are always offensive and can terrorise. Bullying can be hell for children in school, for adults at work. It is the cause of many a deed of desperation. “We did not intend it that way”, is then the most common excuse. But what was the intention?

A tactometer…
… is a tool that determines the sensitivity of your skin. This is very closely related to what tact is: the capacity to judge the sensitivities of human association correctly so as to act correctly and subsequently.
To be tactful is to be tactile : to have a sense of touch, a kind of subtle discernment to correctly sense people and circumstances.

To know when it is best to remain silent

…is at the same time to know when to talk. For is it right to abandon someone to whom an injustice has been committed? Can we remain silent when disdainful words are spoken? To suffer from insulting remarks is very offensive, but neither is it a sign of tact when spectators remain silent in order to save themselves and not have to share in the mess.

The eternal middle course.

In fact it is about the capacity to sense when it is better to remain silent, thus about the correct silence. Just as it is about finding the right words at the right time. All this requires training. One needs to really become aware of which impact all this has on people and  human association.

In essence it is important to remain kind in all circumstances. To return people in the most tactful way to themselves and each other. In this way one helps to keep the harmony, so that everyone can continue with themselves and each other.

Disscusion Questions

It would be nice if “Everyone has at least one person available always to hear their problems, troubles, mistakes, secrets and even opinions. ” but we are afraid we can find lots of people who are feeling lonely and who do not find somebody around them to whom they can tell the ‘closest’ things to. Even many people who have lots of Facebookfriends today can not feel happiness because they do not really feel they can have a very close connection with somebody else. At the time when social Media is such a hype and everybody seems to be constantly busy with updating their social status, we see that a lot of it is a flush of air.

Having all the magical tools which can spread photo’s in a few seconds make it even worse in this world, because many people have found a weapon in it to tease and even worse bully others with their messages and photo’s been placed on the internet.

All tat social media action makes that lots of people have lost their trust in certain people around them.

But each of us can make a difference. Even when liking to use Facebook and other social gadgets we should be conscious not to misuse the modern tools to gossip, but using it more to show our good will to help others and to be ready for them.
We should do proof to others that they can rely on us, because we are trustworthy and standing ready to be helpful for those in need. People are right to fear the ‘Gossiping‘ which has increased so much, and we should give a clear sign to others who try to do such a thing, that we are not served by that and that we do not want to hear.

When we do hear somebody judging somebody else we should give a clear signal that it is not up to man to judge the other, and that before something is insinuated the person has to be very sure that what he or she wants to tell is founded on truth and not on gossip.

Notice:

Power and determination = most important qualities => make you a good leader

leaders need to be strong so that they can be obeyed and followed but they also need to be flexible and friendly with other people so that they can have good relations, can be trusted by the members led and finally can be loved and defended no matter what happens.

A good leader = determined + has power + is also weak + sympathetic

good lives are made so by discipline.

=> keep the laws + law makers

  • 4 Tips On Social Media Use (brosix.com)
    Social media today is just as inescapable as the television had become after the radio. Everyone everywhere has access to Facebook, Twitter, and the rest of the social networks that the Internet can offer. While social media use has brought a whole lot of good, it can also bring negativity, when used wrongly.

    It’s nice to express our thoughts, or to have an opinion, especially in causes that you feel strongly about. However, if your opinions have a tendency to be controversial or unpopular, and you don’t want to attract haters, it’s really best to keep them to yourself.

    The Internet doesn’t yet run on Oracle but it could, and I am strongly tempted to suggest that maybe it should. Not because Oracle software is the best solution available but because Oracle is large enough to weather all sorts of economic storms. The worst possible thing that can happen to the Internet has happened many times already: people develop software that is widely distributed and then suddenly they vanish, or they move on, and everyone who adopted the freeware is left vulnerable and exposed to the inevitable exploits that come along. I remember when I switched to Qmail because it could not be exploited by email spammers.
  • What I learned from my friendships (fourfeetnine.com)
    I did love attention when I was younger, whether from girls or boys and I’d do funny or cute things or talk a lot or tell jokes to get it. Ironically, that craving faded the older I am.  Nobody likes being ignored but I’m content to be on the sidelines or not be in the middle telling jokes.

    But I still always remember what she said.  And to that extent I consciously remind myself not to be too self-absorbed when I talk to friends (because I can be exactly that) and tell myself don’t talk so much about myself WTF and listen to them more.

    Social media is a community. If you want something from someone, it’s best to start by giving them something. • Letters to the Editor, October 3, 2014 (scmp.com)
    What I observed at the protest and through social media is a social contagion where one person shouts, “I hate the cops!” and many others follow.

    If you disagree with your government, non-violent organised protests and simply not participating in the system you disagree with (such as not going to work or school) are possibly effective actions to take.

    But hurling insults at individual police officers for hours on end and demonising them through generalised propaganda in news and social media will not help your situation or Hong Kong as a whole.

How could someone chose the person he trusts?

People can’t be lonely in this life, they always need someone to listen to them, understand them and help them. For example, if you have a problem that is personal but you are struggling to solve it, you will need someone to help you because if you stay hiding that problem you are going to hate life and feel bad about yourself and other people around you. That is why we form trust. We trust people who have time to listen and care about us. Often these people are close to us like a family member, a close friend, a teacher, etc. Everyone has at least one person available always to hear their problems, troubles, mistakes, secrets and even opinions. How to choose the person you trust is very important. You cannot just start telling a stranger all your secrets and personal information because…
