Summer Daze

As a a twenty-something living in Metro-Detroit the Communication major/Broadcasting minor from Oakland University and a pretty big PR nerd, Briana Carlesimo from Bri Car, who enjoys travelling, taking/making lots of videos, listening to any and all types of music, and all social media, let us dream away on the sun-rays of Summer and on the sweet smell of cut grass.

When summertime and warm weather approach she wants to look at a few ways to spice up summer outfits and on Pinterest shows that she loves fashion. {Fashion Friday — The Classic Button Up}

Instagram icon.pngShe also seems to be in love with Instagram‘s Rocksbox willing to spend $19 a month to receive a little box filled with 3 pieces of so called ‘designer jewelry’ for what we would call fantasy jewels. Fact is some handy guys may have the customer to they could be worth somewhere around $200.

We wonder what really happens when a person has used or kept  them for several weeks/months if they really would send you a new box for not more money! {Fashion-Friday Rocksbox} (Perhaps she tells us about her experiences)

She does not know if it is because it’s summer or what, her feeling like some really great music has been coming out lately. {Music Monday Summer-vibes}

For sure she shall have to go into a ‘hot Summer” having to see all the troubles going on in both camps of the Republicans and Democrats or Left vs. Right or “I’m right, you’re wrong”. Though she loves when people are passionate about what they believe – that’s great – but if their passion takes them to the point of blindness to anybody else’s opinion other than theirr own, that’s where she has a problem. {Freedom}

She thinks

The point of having political parties in the United States was to give different people the opportunity to speak out and join others with the same beliefs. It’s quite an amazing opportunity to give to citizens – the right and freedom to choose what to say without any penalty for it. We were given a chance to join like-minded people, but it is not a death sentence to be all-or-nothing within a certain party.

So why, then, are we arguing with other people who have different opinions than us? Why are we getting into physical fights just because somebody else wants to speak or hold a rally or give their thoughts to a larger audience? Why does nobody know the meaning of “peaceful protest” anymore? We have some of the bravest men and women fighting every day to help us keep our freedom, and meanwhile, we’re back home fighting each other and taking that freedom away. {Freedom}

*

This summertime also find some moments to put all that political debate away and enjoy the way your skin feels in the morning when that first ray of sunshine lands across your arm and the warmth of the world engulfs your entire being.

The idea that the summer time is a time for happiness and adventures and explorations all because the bright sky and the colorful land blend together into a painting unlike any other season.

There’s something so incredible about these hot, summer days.

Being able to feel the heat and the sun radiating off of the objects around you.

Or the way your skin feels in the morning when that first ray of sunshine lands across your arm and the warmth of the world engulfs your entire being.

How sweetly the smell of freshly cut grass and the sound of birds chirping come together to create a feeling that every day presents a new opportunity to shine as brightly as the sun does.

The idea that the summer time is a time for happiness and adventures and explorations all because the bright sky and the colorful land blend together into a painting unlike any other season.

Or the appreciation of knowing these days may be rough but that they’re the worst of the best, and even then, we still know we’d rather be breathing in these moments…

Again nominated for the same award

Leonardo DiCaprio in 2007.

DiCaprio at the red carpet at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

Good things they say exist out of three. I do not know how many times a person should be nominated before really winning the prize. Some very good actors for example were nominated several times for the Oscar Academy Awards but did not get the Oscar Award for that film. This year it is no different with Leonardo DiCaprio, though he after five times makes a very good chance.

Though today I’m not here to talk about important prizes, but I think it is about just a little nice pat on my back. Being a very sensible emotional boy this also may touch me. But it took some five and three years before I really got to act on it, when it was once more presented to me.

Liebster AwardIt has been some years ago when I first got the Liebster Blogging Award presented to me by a Zoe for my own personal blog. Some years later it was again presented to me by a blogger on WordPress. The same for an other award, being presented to me, I did not react at the time of offering. Except when I got several ‘awards’ presented in 2014 I thought several bloggers had found an interesting way to get new bloggers to come to know their site. I considered it some form of “chain letters“. On the subject, being bombarded at that time with several “awards” I wrote Awards, prizes, Peace and Working together.

In the knowledge that the online world has massive amounts of material that can make finding your pertinent information overwhelming I also struggled with the security system of the net and with what sources I could trust.

For me at the time when I was bombarded with lots of awards I looked at them as being similar to chain letters which were very popular when the internet seemed a very easy medium to generate free advertisements and/or spam letters and messages.

Jolien Davies, a Blogger & Research Consultant, with her In the know with Jo tells us a little bit more about “The Sunshine Award” and the “Liebster Award” which at one time may have been the same award. Though both, at time where presented to me by different bloggers. She writes about this sort of award that they had not the bad effect like chain letters them having

no threat of ‘bad luck for 200 years,’ or ‘swarms of flies that will descend upon you.’ Another term used for these ‘awards’ is that it is a ‘meme.’ This basically means that it is an idea, behavior, style etc… that spreads like a virus. So, in other words, it is a viral game of sorts. {In the know with Jo Sunshine award breakdown}

sunshine-blogger-award-200Being viral or not, by the beginning of 2016 I once again got the “Sunshine Blogger Award” presented to me by somebody who I consider sincere. He also got to know our ways of thinking and why we do find it important to have our say on the net. He namely was one of the most active reactors to our writings. Probably you may have found his reactions on some articles, under the name Black Horn. He and Not in my world have an “Our Circle” were they try to bring together like-minded people. “Not In My World!!!!is as such the product of a Circle of Friends on Google, who believe Pricele$$ is the only value we can place upon Love, Honour, and Duty to Our Children, and to every Child in this world.

Having similar goals we our pleased that he and his team presented us this award. To shed some light on the reason why from now on mentioning that award on my sites, I wrote 2010-2015 words delivering a Sunshine Award. After having been presented the awards more than once I thought it being time to mention it also to outsiders; i.e. our visitors and readers.

I must be honest. I feel honoured that people think of me and my writings and find them worth to be awarded by a special mention. I do not know such mentions on a website would attract more people to come to read more on it. First of all they have to find the site. Because there is no such general site mentioning all those who received the award there is also no general site bringing readers to those who are awarded the nomination and/or Prize, which is just the mentioning and not connected to any other reward.

Though I do agree, when I see a mention of a certain award on a site I expect certain values and subjects to be spoken off in a certain way. This also would trigger me to have a further look at other articles or not.

I sincerely do hope visitors finding our site and from now onwards also seeing the mention of those awards, will find human interest articles which show the positiveness we want to bring and show the sun-rays which we want to uncover. Not everything is sunshine in the world, so we do have to show the bad things as well. But when showing those bad or evil things we also want to show the other way. We are convinced there is an other way of life than most people are living. That way we want to show to as many as we can. You too can help with it, by making us known by others. You also can give us a pat on our back by clicking on the “Like it” button. when you do like us and have a special place to mention the ‘liked articles’ than you too can bring others to our articles, because we notice that we have readers clicking on the articles we liked, so they go to read those liked articles.

In 2016 we also shall continue to bring further other websites in the picture,though it may be less than before. This because too often we had to justify our mentioning them. It takes already lots of our time to find appropriate related articles, worth mentioning, to one of our writings.

We do hope by our selection of writings from the internet you may be pleased and be guided to think about those subjects. The readers digest we want to offer should give you an idea of why we think a certain way and why we do find it important that we join hands to react in this world. We still look for writers who would not mind joining us to strive for the good cause,to show the world we do have to come to a better relationship between other human beings but also to the plants and animals.

We are all part of the bigger picture and should be aware that we have to take much more care of our environment. Together we want to convince others also to be aware of our obligations and our responsibilities. Showing others the guide to a better life and environment is part of us bringing sunshine in other man’s life.

In case we have to nominate some blogs Pintowski’s Blog Envisioning A Better World, plus Cherispeak and Purplerays would be of them with some others we quoted here on this site already and those who try to bring some thoughts to meditate on.

How do you start your day?

Each morning when the sun rises we should be happy when we can still sea the sun coming up and hear the birds sing.
Whatever we might have to do, we can look at it in the positive or in the negative way. Best we do take the day, like it comes and make the best out of it, wishing it shall attribute something extra to our life. We never know when our life shall end, so we better take every new day as a gift, able to add again something extra to our life and giving us once more the chance to make something of it.

.
To remember:

Facing the responsibilities of the day ahead = challenge.

Negative thoughts make us feel tired, sick and often stressed-out before we even start our day.

What do you think about when you wake up in the morning?  Are you worrying about something, stressing about all the things you don’t want to do, thinking about how awful the day is going to be?

Greet the day with a rousing, “Hello world.  What an awesome day this is going to be!”

Try to bring some sunshine into your life with positive words.

Keep focusing on positive thoughts and it will start to make an impact on your mood.

Fill up your brain with positive power and you will feel more energetic.

Do not wait to develop a new habit, so practice your affirmations daily over and over again until you begin to feel positive.

When you are getting up, dare to say to yourself your happy and enjoying life. Dre to fae yourself and the work you have to accomplish that day.

Do know You can do it.

Don’t compare yourself to others.

Put something on in which you feel at your ease and can be yourself.

Belief in yourself and belief someone believes in you.

  • Is negative thinking sabotaging your happiness? (womensagenda.com.au)
    Although we all encounter a host of neutral situations on any given day, we don’t all look at them in the same way.

    For instance, if a friend calls to cancel an appointment because she’s not feeling well, or someone you’re chatting to stifles a yawn in the middle of the story you’re telling, you could interpret it in two very different ways, depending on your frame of mind.
    +

    “Brooders stubbornly hold onto their habits, almost as if they believe that ultimately they will be able to change themselves by concentrating on their own deficiencies.”

    One way we can work toward unlearning this negative habit is to make a conscious effort to choose a more optimistic view of things whenever there are several ways to interpret a situation or scenario.

    In order to be more present, rather than constantly worrying about what could happen or what another person’s actions might mean, Hertel also recommends working on the development of attentional control through mindfulness meditation.

  • Why You Should Fake a Smile: How Your Emotions Affect Your Student’s Learning (opencolleges.edu.au)
    Stress causes changes in the hippocampus region that result in lack of neuron cell growth, along with cell death. This can happen as early as the fetal stage of development depending on the stress level the pregnant mother is under, along with outside influences of substance abuse. The pathology of children growing up in extremely stressful environments is affected early in their lives.

    The limbic system can shut down or go full steam ahead depending on outside factors. If a student feels happy, the limbic system, which involves intuition, math, logic, time, memory, and other learning processes will open up and be ready to receive. If the student is sad or stressed, the limbic system shuts down and the learning stops with it.
    +

    Shaking off negative emotions is difficult, especially for those that are more sensitive than others. Devastating news can be difficult to process, let alone smile through for your students, but you must try to persevere for the children. While some ideas may seem silly or trivial to remove yourself from the stress, it can work to help get you through the day.

    1. Do not forget to eat. It may be the last thing on your mind, your stomach might be protesting the idea, but you need to fuel your body. Lack of nutrients causes the body to shut down, which in turn will cause more stress, negative emotions, and anger.
    2. Take deep breaths, no seriously, try it. Breathing in deeply causes your body to relax by triggering anti-stress hormones in the body. Sit up straight; breathe in deeply for a few minutes before entering the classroom.
    3. Write down one or two positive things in your life on a piece of paper, and tape it to your desk. Refer to it during the day when you are feeling blue.
    4. Think positively. Pushing negative thoughts out of your head will relax the limbic system’s pathological need to shut down. Make it a game; anytime a negative thought comes into your head, throw a positive one right back at it.
  • Study Reveals Link Between Suicide and Sunshine, Study (scienceworldreport.com)
    The effect of sunshine on suicides has been known since the early 1800s. In the latest study, the researchers found that lower rates of suicide are strongly linked with daily exposure to sunshine in the prior 14-60 days.

    According to the researchers, sunlight interacts with serotonin systems in the brain and strongly influences the serotonin-related behavior such as mood and impulsiveness. It is this behavior that plays a major role in affecting suicidal thoughts.

    Nothing beats the feeling of waking up to the silence of early morning. This is the best part of the day to work on tasks that demand focus and crucial decision making skills. If you feel like you do not have enough motivation to do something important, then stop looking for motivations. Just do things in a small yet progressive manner. This way, you will find yourself progressing from one task to another even if you do not feel like doing it. Our micro-actions will serve as the best antidote for procrastination. It keeps us moving despite lacking the motivation to do so. Remember that as a parent you do not need to have motivation in everything that you do. It may seem sad but there are indeed times when you need to do things because you need to and find motivation in the thought that you are actually making things happen little by little.

  • Guest Post: Breaking The Low Mood Cycle (captainawkward.com)
    We can spend weeks or months or years in a poor mood, which doesn’t seem quite bad enough for us to call it a mental health problem, or a reason to seek professional help. It’s a funny thing – we don’t really trust our moods as valid emotional states – and really, something as transient and odd as a “mood” doesn’t seem like something that can be treated or cured.

    But remember how terrible you feel when you’re in a Low Mood? If we’re creative people, we may explain away the apparent drought in our creativity by saying “I’m just not in the mood to write/paint/draw,” while secretly panicking because what if we’ve lost our creativity? If we’re performative people – people who work in food service, retail, performance art, or another field where you need to project happiness and serenity to do your job – then expressing a Happy Mood when you’re in a Low Mood can feel like operating the most exhausting puppet show ever. It’s really hard to “just do you” when you just don’t feel like it.

  • Add an Extra Hour to Your Day (forwardthinking.ashford.edu)
    A busy schedule prevents many people from going back to college or starting a new project. A lack of free time not only keeps you from achieving your goals, it can also cause stress and diminish your quality of life.

    But consider: no matter who we are, rich or poor, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. How you budget your 24 hours can be the difference between success and failure.

Are you a morning person or do you have to drag yourself out of bed in the morning?  Mornings are tough for many of us because we just don’t want to face the responsibilities of the day ahead.   Negative thoughts are already floating around in our heads and it makes us feel tired, sick and often stressed-out before we even start our day.
