We may wonder, why the ex-Communist Central European countries display such an intolerant, negative and rigid approach to the plight of the refugees. KTG was one of the first to question the ex communist EU states approach even though on the example the lack of solidarity of Eastern Europe towards Greece’s debt crisis.
For sure the fear of having an other culture taking over theirs is ungrounded when each of the asylum taker states is fierce in making it clear those coming into their country have to accept the values and way of life of the guest country.
Revealing themselves to be intolerant, illiberal, xenophobic, and incapable of remembering the spirit of solidarity that carried them to freedom a quarter-century ago, the Eastern European countries should seriously reconsider their position they want to take in the European Union, which has to be one of democratic liberty and solidarity.
Europe is a mixture of different cultures, people and tiny states. It has to look for an consensus, finding a way so that all those different cultures, religions can live together without harming each other or standing in the way of the other.
Debates like the one in Belgium taking place know by the complaint of the commission of equality that burkina’s should be allowed in the swimming pools are not helping to the matter. When this would be allowed women’s right could be in danger again for Muslim women. The same nudist should then have the right to demand being able to swim naked in the public baths at any time.
All sorts of religious, philosophical and ethical groups should find a way to have everybody respecting other ones thoughts, but knowing that in the private sphere everybody should be able to do what they want, as long as they do not bring damage to each other, but that in public places all have to put water in their wine, allowing a way of life where the majority can find itself at ease.
Therefore no yelling from mosque towers at the rising or setting of the sun, and no bell ringing from Catholic or Protestant churches early in the morning.
On the examples of Hungary’s government “mistreatment of thousands refugees in front of the eye of the entire world” and Poland’s storm of comments full of hate towards the refugees, we should ask with urgency to those ex-communist countries:
“Have Eastern Europeans no sense of shame? For centuries, their ancestors emigrated in droves, seeking relief from material hardships and political persecution. And today their leaders’ heartless behaviour and callous rhetoric play to popular sentiment. “
Throughout millennia people have been hoovering all over the world to find liveable pastures, let those who claim to be Christians show the right Christian attitude worthy to be called after Jeshua, the Messiah, Jesus Christ, who preached love and openness for each other.
When listening to the inner voice we may become confronted with ourself. We may come to see that at all we are not so easy to understand, neither by ourselves nor by others.

I am difficult to understand,
I am bitter to enemies,
I am better to friends.
I am always smiling around,
Even though I am angry inside.
I am confused,
And can ask you confusing things.
All I am sure of is,
I am living, not existing,
I am joyous, I am dancing,
I am reading, I am singing,
I am full of energy,
I am helping, I am a bit selfish,
I go an extra mile to make you happy.
And now, I am reminding myself of who I am.

In this world there are lots of denominations in Christendom. Lots of Christians say that the non-trinitarian christians belong to cults or sects, but clearly than they forget what the characteristics of a sect or cult are.

Do you know where in the Bible we find God‘s first promise to send the Messiah? The answer is foundational to our faith because within this first Messianic Prophecy mentioned in the Bible lies our fate of eternal separation from God. Too many christians limit the Bible to the second main part, the Messianic Writings, […]

We have read in the account of the evangelist Matthew (chapter 16) how once again Jesus was tested and how the Sadducees and Pharisees expressed what many people today also want to see, namely signs of Jesus and/or signs of God. The religious leaders asked Jesus for a sign from heaven. They wanted proof that […]

My most salient advice for biblical scholars and theologians is: be aware of the diversity of your discipline, and work hard toward inculcating permeable boundaries for the disciplinary city. Those marginal spaces in the discipline are essential for the future of biblical studies and/or theology. We all note the importance of historical-critical work in all […]

Hoe leest u?

Throughout history of mankind there have many groups of people who worshipped a triple deity (sometimes referred to as threefold, tripled, triplicate, tripartite, triune or triadic, or as a trinity). Those people who worshipped such tri-une god all claim they only worship one deity. Such deities that are worshipped as one are common throughout world mythology; the number three has a long history of mythical associations. Carl Jung considered the arrangement of deities into triplets an archetype in the history of religion. But the God of the Bible is clear about Which God has to be worshipped, not a more headed, be it an eightfold, three-une or bi-one god, but only the God of Abraham, Which is only One God of gods.

The narrative of the Biblical creation story is the idea of ordering that is the result of divine intent. It is a fundamental biblical teaching that the original, divinely ordained order in the physical world has its counterpart in the divinely ordained universal moral order to which the human race is subject.
By the different peoples of the world we can find very similar myths in an effort to explain the beginning, of everything from nothing, by a divine intelligence or a Source of life.
Giving verbal expression to explain that which is outside any model of human experience without obscuring the enduring meaning of the text of the scrolls, showing a One self-sufficient, self-existing and transcendent Being outside of nature.
Mankind has always looked for an understanding concerning the existence of things. They imagined divine powers bringing all those things a life or causing things.

Lots of people, in particular English speaking people, do forget that in several languages “Allah” is the word being used for The God as well as for other gods or a god. Sometimes it seems that English speakers want everyone using the English names and tittles like they use them. Originally being an Arabic word […]
The Divine Creator Allah the Exalted in might provides information about the total encompassing nature of His divine decree and pre-ordainment, “No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves” and this is comprehensive of the encompassing nature of the calamities which afflict creation, whether of good or evil, that all of them are written […]
KJV-only people often forget that in the many Bible Translation committees, all over the world, can be found many serious honest people who like to do justice to the Word of God. Several brainstormers from all sorts of religious groups often work together as a team to sit down to do some good bible hermeneutics for getting the best contemporary words placed in good readable and understandable phrases.
The translators of the 1611 authorised King James Bible Version looked and studied previous English and other bible translations to work on their version which they considered an effort of which they knew it would not be perfect. They expected the KJV to be later corrected and improved! By implication, they did not hold to […]
We may not forget that language is always changing and that written language fossilizes it and makes it stop changing. English imperialism or a megalomania might be at the source of some English speaking people considering their “King James Version” to be the only true and correct Bible translation, while depicting all other English translations as false and misleading versions. Though the world should know that God is mightier than all people and is strong enough Himself to protect His own Word so that in many other languages, but also in English, many different useful and correct bible translations may be offered at the contemporary book-store. some of the many English versions are presented here.
We may not forget that language is always changing and that written language fossilizes it and makes it stop changing. The Bible, especially the King James Version, has been very influential on keeping language the same because it has been so widely read, but even there we must be aware that certain words have changed and that today certain phrases in spoken as well as written English may be brought differently than the 1611 version.
King James Version people are people who work against the Will of God, not willing to recognise that today we may have people with more and better knowledge of God’s Holy Word than those of the 17th century. By not willing to accept the advancement which is made in Bible archaeology KJV-only people become adversaries of God.
The Bible never had the intention to be a day-to day factual record of historical events. Biblical archaeology as a historical discipline can contribute to our understanding of Bible history, though we may find lots of people who do not want to make use of those new scientific and archaeological findings and keep claiming that their English King James Bible is the only true and right bible in the world, as if God would only have privileged the English speaking people to come to know His Word..
When looking at how many times scientists and politicians changed of opinion about certain matters or on their thoughts how everything works and how the world has been or should be constructed, we can see that they would better have listened more to the advice given in the book of books, the Bible.
