A New Schoolyear, new plans

We are coming closer to the end of August. Though we may enjoy the third heatwave this Summer, for many it comes in the preparation period for the new academic year.

Summer coming to an end, most people having to go back at work on Monday, or perhaps already tackling a new season of daily work?!

Everyone makes plans and most often make new plans and promises when there is a new cycle starting. Maybe you too have mapped out your plan with steps toward the coming season.  Many put a goal in front of their eyes. You, like many others, have had a lifelong dream to achieve something that you think could be the right direction for you, then as you go along you don’t see progress towards that dream. You wait, you try, you pray, but to no avail that dream, that vision- just isn’t going the way you thought it would and now you are left with-  “ what do I do and where do I go from here?

Would it be not the right time, this year, to count on some help and guidance from above?

Would it be not nice if you could feel a Higher Power close to you?

Give your ear to hear God calling you to it and get working on it. Now it is time to get back the Bible in your hand, for studying, praying, hoping a door shall be able to open. Comt to rely on the Most High God and look forward with a positive attitude.

Make your plans and see what God is going to do with them, pray for them, don’t give up, something is coming and it could take a while but you will see how much He loves you just by preventing you from things that are wrong for your life and others around you.

Proverbs 16:9
In their hearts humans plan their course
but the lord establishes their steps

October 2016 New academic year and Start for inspirers

Yesterday, after some silence, the Sumer-holiday, the new academic year started with a weekend, i.e. for many giving an extra free 2 days and brought again some writings on this site.

on his Your success inspirer WordPress.com site at his 2016/09/30/ Solidarity-support-challenge asks his members to keep going in the belief that

As time goes on, we who are serious will stand out of the crowd.

Like on this site at his are different blogwriters presented, though only in a listing and not with some of their articles. In future we shall have a closer look at the presented websites there and make a selection for you to look at. As such we do hope, like Romanus to crusade for a more connected world of people willing to share the hope for a peaceful world. We do hope we’ll be able to find enough writers trying to build up an excellent world in a beautiful environment where positive thoughts are shared.

You will find ‘good will messages’; ‘messages of love’, ‘messages of kindness, solidarity, tolerance, understanding’, etc. But we also want to share poems, songs, articles, and much more all aimed at helping make the world an excellent place for all.

If you feel inspired to join us or to join ‘Your success inspirer‘ let your e-mail address be known, so that we can send you an invitation to become a contributor or co-author.

This weekend is a “Meet and Greet” week-end, where we give ourselves the opportunity to dream big.

What Are You Seeking?

At the beginning of the new academic year we also can think about what people would like to have on their bucket list and priority list for the new year.

Like at the beginning of the New Western Calendar Year those living in industrialised and economic democracies can compete with the North Americans having their eyes fixed on material matters and on the self.

When we look at the list of the top ten New Year’s Resolutions for 2014 it says all about the mind which has gone a long way off track from creation and its Creator.

Like the medical world prefers to treat the visible sings but not the cause of the illness. A lot of people are not at all interested to work on their (bad) habits. They like enjoying themselves at no price. They also want to be first in the picture and would like to boost their popularity as much as they can. Social media are there for them to help to reach their goal.
But are they really aiming at the right goal? We do not think so.
They also are not interested to find the way to that small door or ancient gate, written about in very old books.
They do not appreciate the value of those very old books. They better would spend some more attention to them.

From old times they where there to help, guide and support those who wanted to pick up that Book of books, called the Bible. It has helped millions of people by now. It still can help you and those around you to bring inner-peace. A peace which shall last for ever.

It may take years to come to that inner-peace and it is also very difficult for people to put aside the doctrinal churches of so many denominations. But when you shall find the truth in the Word of God, taking the words for what they say and not thinking ‘God‘ when there is written ‘Jesus‘, but than taking it to be Jesus, the son of God, than you will find inner peace so much quicker.

Good luck with your Bible reading and studying the Word of God.

God bless.

  • True Peace (ellen5e.com)
Those that don’t really know Jesus do not really know peace. Their souls deep down know that they are at enmity with God. Something is not right. They search and cannot find it. They try the world’s way of selfish ambition and self-rule. The Bible refers to this as the man who built his house on shifting sand. There is no solid foundation, because when the current scheme, relationships, pursuits fail (and they will) they simply try something else and start the cycle all over again.
Our rock-solid, devoted & loving relationships with God and other people is in very strong contrast to their hate for our proclaiming the truth of God’s word.
  • Activators of grace and peace (dailymedit.wordpress.com)
Grace and peace are like twins. Grace fuels you forward, peace makes you grounded. The bible says: it is good that the heart be established with grace not with food which has not benefitted those who are given to it. So Paul was saying in the focus verse that it is better to “eat” grace than to eat food for energy. It is more sustaining. When God wants to send help it comes in the shape of grace. The help which Jesus is the embodiment of, which was sent to the earth was said to be full of grace. Jesus is a grace-package (John 1:14). And when Paul wanted to write about Jesus he identified him with his grace, saying the grace of the lord Jesus be with you (2Corinthians 13:14).
  • Religious mentality (thelivingmessage.com)
There are so many different religions in the world today and just as many if not more denominations of Christian belief too. Why are we so split up into different doctrines and belief systems? Mainly, because of Satan himself. I know, there are many, many people who don’t believe in him and those who say that he doesn’t exist at all. He enjoys taunting them and playing with their minds, especially when they don’t think that it is a real entity which is doing these things.
  • 10 Things Your Childhood Pastor Didn’t Tell You (But Should Have) (patheos.com)
There are around 40,000 different Christian denominations all with their own particular nuances and ways of expressing the Christian message. I fear too many of us grow up thinking that our group is the one group who “gets it”, but with 40,000 different expressions of Christianity out there, chances are slim that you grew up in the one faith tradition who had it all correct. Each expression of Christianity has inherent strengths and weaknesses, all of which should be considered on the individual merits.
  • Triangulations : The Deadly Yahweh Dilemma (triangulations.wordpress.com)
Here is my list of theological dilemmas (“doctrines”) that divide up Christianity into its many, colorful and flavorful varieties.  To this list I am adding another theological question by which to understand Christians:
The Deadly Yahweh DilemmaIt is obvious to any Bible reader that in the Jewish scriptures Yahweh displays far more deadly attributes than Yahweh does in the Christian scriptures. Exceptions exist of course: with kind, wonderful images of Yahweh in the OT and a horrible Yahweh seen in the NT (see the Book of Revelation). But overall, the differences is clear — the Deadly Yahweh Dilemma has existed since the beginning of Christianity and Christians have devised several different clever solutions.

Unshakable Hope

I follow a Bible reading plan every year, and the plan I’m following this year begins with John’s Gospel. I’ve always thought it was much more than a coincidence that the first words spoken by Jesus (in John’s Gospel) come in the form of a very profound question; it’s a question that everyone should know the answer to:

“What are you seeking? (John 1:38)

When I read that question on January 1st, I paused to think about what I should be seeking this year. I believe that our New Year’s Resolutions, or lack of, tell a lot about what we’re seeking. The following is a list of the top ten New Year’s Resolutions for 2014. Other than showing that we smoke too much, spend too much, sit too much and eat too much, what does this list tell us about the American people?

  1. Lose weight.
  2. Improve finances.
  3. Exercise…

Time to Unwind

Being in the month of “searching ” (Elul) and facing the transition of coming out of holiday going back into a new school- or academic year, we notice we can encounter people who come back from holiday tired, and complaining they should have some rest before going to work again. This proves that those people do not have found the right way to use their time properly , nor to create a real atmosphere to relax.
Many people may think there is not time for unwinding, but that is because they do not allow time for unwinding to come into their life.

It is true that day and night go into one another, and these days people often have to go to work when it is dark and only return when it is again dark. In the evening and at night there are also many people who have to work so that others can have the pleasure of entertainment, travelling a.o..

Working in day time or at night, should not make a difference in finding time four yourself. each person should declare each day a moment only consecrated to the self. We all need every day some time for ourself and should demand and take it up.

We all do need a moment we can forget the worries and put aside the daily matters. This can be done in different ways. Best when it is at night, to get in the sofa and let your thoughts wonder. When it is still light you should find a moment to go outdoors into the green fields,or the mountains, and enjoy the nature. Walking is the best moment to come to the self, to put the stress away, and to re-source.

At least once a week we should find total rest. And when we can we should once a year get at least one week to let the chaos pass our eyes, and be pleased to have nothing disturbing the peace unnecessary. (So please be not bounded to cellphone, sms and other electronic messages for that time of repose.) Enjoy the silence, being on your own or with those with whom you want to be with. Creolize: relax in an elegant fashion in a warm climate; undergoing a change.

Today is 7 Elul or 23 days until 5775; it is a time to reflect and to choose ways in which I can best move towards the High Holy Days and the days that follow.  While it is not easy to navigate life’s journeys, I always get to decide how to approach my life.  In this moment, I am choosing to walk gently and embrace each step with openness.  As I say this, I also realize that this would be a good time for a reality check.

  • Let’s be Honest, Sometimes it’s Just too Hard to Meditate. (elephantjournal.com)
there are those folks who find it easy to be disciplined and have a steady daily meditation practice and go to three month meditation retreats every year. But there are also people who win the Olympics and we know there is no point comparing ourselves to an Olympian, so why would we compare ourselves to the few who meditation comes easily to?

Our stress hormones are being pushed to their limits, our flight and fight responses maxed out over VISA bills and Facebook accounts and our central nervous system’s fried from traffic and custody suits.

Let’s not make meditation one more stressful thing we’re supposed to do.Instead what we need to do might look like a nap, or a Netflix binge or a glass of wine. I am giving you the ultimate permission here—this is just fine.Relax, unwind, notice that being with your mind just feels too hard right now. Send yourself some love; you understand it feels rough, so remember that the meditation practice is always here.

And maybe tomorrow, or next week, or next month you’ll be ready to close your eyes and notice your breath and be with your mind.

And the compassion you bring to your mind when you’re not meditating will carry over and it will be there when you’re meditating, too.

So, it’s Elul.  It’s that time of year for introspection, and thoughts of self-improvement, and taking a good, hard look at what’s been working for us and what hasn’t been.  Rosh Chodesh came and went, and amid the hubbub of moving and having all my kids home with me all day, I was feeling kind of “meh” about it, really.  It’s not that I didn’t care, per se, about this extremely important month, I was just tired and overwhelmed, and there was no room in my head for even thinking about anything.
    +
Relaxation is super important, and everyone really does need to unwind and recharge.  Yes.  Do that.  But that’s not what I was doing.  What I was doing was an impressive amount of time wasting.  And I was embarrassed to admit it (and so grateful to my husband for not giving me a hard time about it).

Try not to let life “rattle” you so easily. Let’s face it, there are things we just have no control over like traffic lights, bad drivers and long checkout lines. Instead of becoming frustrated, think of something that brings joy into your life or find some humor in the situation.

Small Changes For Life

This week we’re going to focus on transition.

transition |tranˈziSHən-ˈsiSHən|noun; the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another

By the time most of us come home from a long day at work we can be pretty frazzled. Things may not have run like clock work at the office, you may not have had time to eat lunch, and just when you head for home, the freeway is at a dead stop. Often as you walk through the front door it starts all over again; We pick up the house, get dinner on the table, get the kids to bed, pay some bills or do paperwork.images-3

The problem is there is no time for unwinding, no real transition, the day just continues right into the night.

Small Change #40 Unwind

For this weeks small change, consciously set a time to unwind. Chose a time…
