Taking refuge in God

A song about taking refuge in God when you feel like running away from God or the situation you find yourself in.

Today many people all over the world are in difficulties. In the East, there are lots of brothers and sisters in Christ who have to keep their faith quiet or have to be very prudent to speak about God and His son Jesus. As brothers and sisters in Christ we welcomed many refugees and took them up in our ecclesial, where they share the Word of God and can feel safe.

In this morning service we paid attention to the way we can let others come into our life and into our community, but how God does such greeting work much better than any human being. He opens His heart for everybody without any consideration. He is willing to receive all those who want to become under Christ and to accept and adopt them as children of Him.

Holy Overshadowing – Live – Christian Worship song by Graham Kendrick (UK Worship Leader)

O spread Your wings of mercy over me
And guard my heart with true humility
No shadow of the darkness pressing in
Only the holy overshadowing
Underneath Your wings, overshadowing
Verse 2:
No refuge will I seek but God alone
No hiding place save only at Your throne
Only the cross, the blood to wash my sin
Only the holy overshadowing
Underneath Your wings,
overshadowing
Chorus:
You are my shield, and my glory
You are the lifter of my head
And though the storms may rage around me
I’ll be safe within
Beneath the holy overshadowing
Verse 3:
No burden on my back too hard to bear
Only the easy load
You bid me wear
Until these troubles pass,
my heart will sing
Praise for the holy overshadowing
Underneath Your wings,
overshadowing
Ending:
Underneath Your wings
Overshadowing, overshadowing
